i have boosted my p5, and i have a friend that has a msp. he just blew his engine (thrown rod, go figure) and he told me that i should get forged internals. i only have 8k mi on the engine with the turbo, but 77k ok the engine itself. do you guys have eny suggestions on when/what i should get for it before it goes boom as well?

i dont know much stuff about the turbos and everything but i heard that on the p5's it puts a lot of load on the engine and could really mess things up
lol, i have a ES!! turbo'd at 5k. i ran to 28 k at 15 psi!! now i am at 32 k at 22-26 psi and i have stretched a wrist pin!! but my block is good!! no holes!!
i would say upgrade the rods/wristpins and u will be ok!!
everyone will call me dumb for the boost i was running but i did it w/o hitting fuel cut or any problems!! if you have a good ems and a good tune you can run high boost on a stock motor!!!

No offence meant but you have absoluetly no idea what you are talking about.
It really depends on what your running.
Conservative boost is fine on a P5. Boost by itself is not going to put excessive wear on the egine. What will kill you is if you are getting small amounts of detonation. Also, if you are over 200hp, your motor is probably a ticking time bomb. If you are under 200hp and everything is running smooth, it would be an anomaly for your motor to blow.

Ya, I'm at 8psi and if I go to 10psi with just a voltage clamp and FMU I get some knock...

in 1 night, no!! i think i would be dead! (i only weigh 140 lbs) that was 2 nights of poker at my house!! me and 2 other doing most of the drinking!! plus some liquor. it is only 55 beers!! that is 9 beers ish a night per person!! easy weekend night for me!!
