Boosted Mp3!!!

Dana, what was the name of that thread you started a while back about wideband "readings" or something, i cant find it.

this morning i was in 4th gear boosting about 2.2bar. and i had readings of 14.7-15.3

Keep doing that and your motor won't last very long... :(

You need MUCH MORE Fuel. The 1st number of your A/F reading should NEVER be more than about 13.x. I'd rather see 12.5-12.9:1 air/fuel ratios for safety/longevity. :-/

paul was supposed to get the piggyback from nick but it kept on being delayed so he has the fmu

all you need to do is loosen the nut, take an allen wrench...next blow some air into the boost input on the fmu (should be on top) and look at your fuel pressure gauge to see what it reads...if andy did yours like mine then it is only for the fuel pressure you get from the fmu and not total fuel pressure (stock system)...you want around 60-70 psi added and just turning the allen key clockwise will allow you to adjust it

isnt 2.2bar around 30psi? ;)

running stoich is not bad if running fuel and ignition control, that will depend on how much heat it produces.

Not that this hasn't been said, but you're too lean under boost. . .you should be nowhere near 14 or 15 to 1. Something isn't right. . .

You seem to be getting a little "toasty" with the EGT Reading too.(flame)

Check that stuff out before you have problems. . .in the mean time, careful with the boost. . .we're worried for ya, man.

i adjusted my fmu last night. now while boost is building sometimes i am in the 13's but once at full boost it stay around 11. I think im safe now, or should i turn it up a lil more? Hopefully i didnt do any damage. the car feels more powerfull already. Hopefully i will have engine mgmt within the next month or so, i am just waiting for all these products to get released.

JAJE, how far in is the screw on top of ur FMU in. Mine only has about 1/4" left to go.

My car still feels fine and everything sound normal. I have been listen very closely for any type of Knock or something.. Anyone want to explain how it sounds or how loud iit is??

Also, i want to do a compresion check just for saftey, WHere do i get the tools to do that, and how do i do it?? I wouldnt mine owning the tool so i can check compression periodically.

as for my egt placement, it is right in the colector about 3" from the engine.

3", well, that's close enough not to lose too much heat, so it should be accurate.

2.2 bar??!?!?! You sure about that? Do you mean 2.2psi?

this afternoon i was on my way to spring lake to go to the beach, and i was also boosting about 2.3bar and i hit 15.8.

Ouch.

I think andy has my directions for the Eugo, is there anything else i should know about?? I got to get a hold of him and find out how to adjust my FMU and how much to adjust it.

Where is your wideband sensor located?
