I picked up my car tonight from wagnermotorsports.net. As of now i am boosting about .22 bar which im guessing is around 3psi. The car feels real strong and my BOV give a nice sharp whistle. Im real tired tonight, i'll go in to details about everything later and get some pics up.

My car feels real good, so much faster than b4. Even at 3 psi it feels so strong under boost. As of now my BOV isnt recircullating b/c wagner motorsports (andy) didnt have the right size hose for my type S BOV. His kit comes with a recirculating raptor BOV but the hose wouldnt fit mine. I will be going back up there to have him weld a piece on so i can recirculate. I tend to stall when releasing my foot of the gas after being in boost. Its only happen like 4 times, but i can control it now so it doesnt do it. It does sound cool though. My wideband also goes down to 10 sometime when i release the gas to shift, is this normal?? when im in boost it goes from 12-15. the numbers really move around alot. My highest EGT is a 750 degrees celcius.

BOOST is fun..

here is a pic. I got some cleaning up to do, but im too busy driving it for now.

Wow, if you pop the hood around some unsuspecting people, that might scare the s*** out of them. That engine bay looks mean man. Damn, I wish I didn't have credit to pay off with my bonus or I'd be buying a turbo kit for sure.

BOOST is fun..

Your wideband is showing super rich when you relese the gas because you aren't recirculating yet. Some of the air that has been metered (and fuel is added according to the measure of the intake charge and a few other things...) is being relesed back into the air when you blow off, so there is still fuel that was added to deal with the extra air that isn't in the system anymore.

When you boost your wideband should go no higher than 12.5...I like to keep mine around 11.7-12.1.

i will have to adjust my FMU, Last night i had a nice stretch of road where i could stay in boost i was in 4th gear and my wideband was pretty steady at 15.3. What is the lowest reading i should see on my wide band. sometimes while im not in boost and just cruisin around it goes down to about 10. but its not consistant it just jumps around a lot. I also got a CEL last night... Which is wierd because i have still have 2 cats, just hight flow ones. Also JAJE has the same kit and no CEL..... Could this also have to do with the fact that mine doesnt recirculate?? Because his recirculates. Anybody know anywhere i can test my car to find out what the CEL is???

thanks.

Also my car sounds real nice, i have the JIC magic muffler. Without the silencer it is too loud for everyday driving, so i put the silencer in and the car is as quiet as ever. Also no smoke or anything comming from the exhaust. I got to play around a lot with it last night, lots of fun. The car is so much faster.

Yeah, your Wideband should not ever go over 15, OFF BOOST.

While on boost, it shouldn't be over 13.

If you're on boost and running a 15+, you're WAY lean.

Yeah and I like to keep it at 12.5
You should be at 13-16 @ idle and it will jump around cruising and hover around stoich most of the time. But dont let it get into the 15's on boost.
Your cars looking good;)

i was confused , i thought high meant i wasw rich. on the highway i was at 15.8. s*** i hope i didint **** anything up. I will go read the uego instructions now. during normal crusing conditions the car stays between 14.1 and 14.7.

also my highest EGT while boosting is about 800 celcius.

thanks for the comments and the help.

here are some intercooler pics.

Also does anyone know off hand how to convert farenhieght(sp) to celcius???

No...the number you're reading is how many parts air there are to one part fuel.

Ditto. You SHOULD be ok though.

Weren't you the guy who thought I was silly for getting a Wideband when we were talking at the hooters meet? LOL.

also my highest EGT while boosting is about 800 celcius.

Well, I don't know where your EGT probe is, what gear you were in, etc etc. Tell us so we can make some better determinations. However, 800* C is a bit hot, regardless of where the EGT probe is/what gear you're in. It's not super hot, bit it's a little hotter than it should be.

I just hope to God that your EGT probe is before the turbo...because if it's after the turbo and you're reading those temps, you're screwed. Try to stay off of boost until things are figured out.

That wasnt me who said that, i got my wideband the same time as you. it has just been sittin in my room for a while, i was listening to you and perf battle it out about egt placement, i have been all about the wideband since day one, im glad i have it...

as for my egt placement, it is right in the colector about 3" from the engine.

this morning i was in 4th gear boosting about 2.2bar. and i had readings of 14.7-15.3

this afternoon i was on my way to spring lake to go to the beach, and i was also boosting about 2.3bar and i hit 15.8.

I think andy has my directions for the Eugo, is there anything else i should know about?? I got to get a hold of him and find out how to adjust my FMU and how much to adjust it.
