it is really annoying how this boost gauge is ready 15 psi on stock boost!!!
i know it isn't autometer or any other brand...is a FAZE gauge....

but still, i have read about people running the autometer and still having a 15 psi reading...

also, as per instructions, it actually says "NOT TO HOOK IT UP ON THE BRAKE BOOSTER LINE" i hooked it up to the wastegate line with a too...

this are my reading
idle = -19
50% throttle = 4-5 psi
70 % thorttle = 5-6 psi
WOT = 11-15psi...

wtf?

Try replacing the gauge, if you have access to another gauge that is. I think it's the gauge, it should be reading like 21-22vac and about 6-7 psi boost not to much more. My car will read about 8psi but I have all the exhaust done and the intake so it's all free flowing which will raise the boost a bit.

k, i tried hooking it up today again to the same exact place i did yesterday, this time it read -18 vac and this is what i don't undertsnad

in neutral, revving the engine it will go up to 7 psi
but when driving hard on the street, it goes anywhere between 11 and 15....
weird...

it shouldnt even be going that high when you just are revving it in neutral, i have to take it past 5500 to even get a little boost blow off if i am not under load. is there anybody near you that you know has a reliable gauge? i mean ^tyrant^ had his at 16 psi stock, but he had wastegate malfunction and it was warrantied, plus you could tell he was actually pushing 16psi, so i would suggest finding somebody with a trusted gauge that is cool with just swapping to do a little trial and error

Try Auto Meter I've had good success with it, and its not to expensive. Ive had them on cars at over 20psi, good for the money.

I think you are definitely getting a funky reading, there seems to be a bit of that going around

yea yea, shouldn't had wasted the time on the pepboy gauge...actually..disocunt autoparts...i did ask about the return policy beofr buying tho

how much was your FAZE guage? i'm sure you can buy a used autometer guage on the forums for either the same price or less.

My guage is screwy too. Its and autometer pro comp, and it only reads 2 vac at idle. And guess what, I have no vacumm leaks. Ive replaced all the lines and its still the same.

i bought autometer boost and a/f (:( ) used on the forums for $30, they arent the best but I havent had any problems with the boost gauge, narrow band a/f is pointless but they came together and I needed 2 gauges for my pod til I save up for wideband. try installing a copper boost line too.

There around 50-60 on ebay.

I have a fase oil pressure guage but its not hooked up.My friend just gave it to me for free. I want to get rid of it cause it lights up blue and my autometer is the yellowish orange color. It looks so ricy at night.

do what I did, get an autometer replacement blue bulb. It's harder to see than the yellow but you'll get used to it.

Well, I like the yellow. The blue is what I hate. Also I have to many friends that have been pulled over that use faze guages because the officer said that you cant have any blue light Inside or outside the car that is visible.

the b**** about blue lights on the guages? what is wrong with these cops.

Well they also have red replacements that would match your car. (dunno)
