Boost gauge installation help

Background Information

1. Mechanical Sunpro Boost gauge
2. Power wire is connected to cigarette lighter power source. I also tested with the power connected to the constant power wire(red wire) from the wire harness behind the steering wheel assembly.
3. Ground is connected to left panel to body/frame, uses the same ground as two other black ground cables behind the kick panel on driver's side.
4. Running a tee that has a hose running to BPV on one end, a hose running to the throttle body, and a hose that runs directly to the Boost gauge in the car (hoses were checked and were extremely tight around fittings).
5. For the sender wire from the boost gage to the tee i'm using a 4mm nylon hose that is wrapped snuggly around the boost gage nipple and zipped tied to the tee even though it fits tightly without one. I did this b/c the standard tiny sender wire would always disconnect itself from the hex nut adapter/ gage nipple assembly.

Problem

1. When i start the car the boost gauge lights up, dial does not move at all (it stays in the same position from off/on).
2. The needle on the gage never moves, even when i drive
3. This is the second sunpro boost gage that i have bought in the past day, the previous one did the same exact thing, which is leading me to believe, i made an error.

Current Setup

I removed the tee, zipped tied the sender wire to the body in the engine bay, and stashed all the wires for the gage under my dash until i get this thing figured out. I'm running a hose directly from my BPV to the throttle body.

sounds like a defective boost guage.. try a 3rd. If you checked everything you shouldn't have made a mistake i read your steps sounds correct

I believe you put a tee on the hose that comes off of your BPV nipple. And then from the tee you run a line to your boost gauge.
