Boost gauge bugged out. Sender unit??

I was idling the other day at a light and I glanced over at my boost guage to see it going crazy. Was boosting all the way up to 20psi and back down to vacuum. I checked the hoses and they are secure. I sent an email to prosport and the gauge is used / old so they can't warranty. Basically I have to buy a 25 (shipped) dollar sender unit. Maybe it died in the heat or something. . .

Anyway do you guys think this is the likely cause?? I don't want to spend 25 bucks for nothing. The sender unit does all the work right?? While the gauge itself is a pretty light switch. This is a prosport digital boost gauge mind you

another prosport going bad? Grr...

my oil pressure sender just went out on me too

Sending unit has taken a crap..... Happens alot with the Prosport boost Guage... Im on my
3rd sending unit.... I purchased mine from a local vendor and they have been good in replacing it at no charge....

fixed it !!! So happy I don't have to buy a new sending unit. Then I would have to cut / resauder the wires.

The grounding line was not secured. I have it grounded on the screw that holds down the bracket of my CAI. It came undone a little bit.
