boost cut

Ok, so here's what happened. I installed the Boost cut defender and I also installed my boost gauge/ controller. I'm pretty sure i did everything right except i put the vacuum line in the wrong spot (I'll fix it tommorow). So I go to test out what all was different (if anything). I felt some difference not much so i left it alone. Now when i'm in 4th, 5th, or 6th I feel the motor cut out. which leads me to ask you guys whats wrong.
 
you did something wrong probably. which boost controller did you use, and how did you hook it up?

The company is called proparts there a lil company here in Maryland but the gauges Are 100%. I followed everything that they said in the directions even my mechanic helped me out the only things that hung us up were. The Tach wire thing(which I attached to on of the spark plug wires at the top of the motor) and the vacuum line(I attached that to the line under the IC in the front.)<----I know is wrong I'm gonna fix that in about 45 min and see but the tach wire is still worrying me as well.)
