I'm looking forward on buying one, but not sure what brand is the best and what style. I hear although electronics where betters and all that, that it will probably bring more problems because they are electronic and because you are able to change the boost as you roll...

What do you guys think? Manual or Electronic?

BTW, how much psi can the Speed's engine can hold? how bout for daily driving?

I have used the Greddy Profec Spec II B on another car. Amazing little unit. Simple to use, but does everything you need. Also used MBCs. They are a good place to keep things simple, if you're changing lots of other variables. Both work, MBC=more bang for the buck.

from what I hear you will hit Fuel cut around 18ps. Just some food for thought.

As for EBC vs MBC.

I had a Greddy Profec Spec II B on my MSP and it was great. Had a high and low boost setting and could switch on the fly between them, and changed settings to compisate for overboosting and stuff like that. Got bored with it and got a Joe P MBC Got it set to what I wanted and never touched it again. I still have it and contiplate putting it on the 6.

I say if you are planning to change between different boost settings A LOT get an EBC. If you don't or only plan to change it every now and then, save your money and get a MBC.

I dont plan on playing around with it A LOT, but if you are on a traffic light and an STi gets next to you, and you have it set to 15, i doubt you are going to run out and switch it manually. I guess it is more about convenience. So EBC it is. Thanks for the help guys!

Or you could go this path: MBC set it at 18, and if you want less boost don't floor it. Take the money saved and buy a Valentine 1.

My opinion is that if you can safely make 18 psi work (read good afr, no knock), then use your foot to limit power not a boost setting. However, if you're going to track it an EBC would be worth it. For instance run 18 psi on the street, but have another setting do dial it down closer to stock at the track (less heat).
