Recap: i hit a fairly large racoon at about 3 am. he was big enough that the car went airbourne. wasnt an experience i wanted when i was half asleep after working 15 hours. anyway, i went to take my lip off to sell it and i found that the bumper was cracked so im like crap, guess ill call progressive and have them fix it since i give them over $2k every year. I just went to pick her and up and she looked ok, wasnt too happy with the fitment as seen in pic #1 or the crappy edges in pic #2. what really concerns me is that i thought silver was a really hard color to match so bodyshops usually blend the color over the hood and down both fenders. apparently at Jeff Wyler they dont do that, either that or progressive didnt let them. check out pic #3 and #4 and tell me what you think.

can't really tell from the pics, but look at it this wau, if u r paying for it, get it done right, no bs

i would have to say take it back to them.

Unless of corse they told you something about the color not matching before hand then you might not be able to do anything about it.
and if they said nothing of this then take it back. It never hurts to ask.

Did Jeff Wyler Eastgate do that!

TAKE THAT s*** BACK!
Totally different color....tell them to match it better or get to blendin!
I bought my car from Jeff Wyler eastate and I hate that ****** place!

I hate to say it ,but the way i am ...my car would have never left the body shop lookin like that...I would have took one look and turned and walked to talk to the big man...I would be like....I thought you guys were gonna call me when it was done....I know that aint finished right there...cuz that paint doesn't even come close to matchin'!

did he do 3 stage paint? btw really sorry to thread jack, but my dgm lip goes on like that... is it really supposed to be like that...see the gap on the very first pic...?

im sorry i browsed thru ur post... yeah my shop didnt take off my windsplitter and riveted the lip on... so i had to take it off, clean off the tape...blah blah... after putting down a s*** load of tape... mine looked good... after 1 day of driving, it slide back down and looks like what you have in pic 1... my lip's cut where that tab goes into the grill area doesnt look symetricall... so we may have the same fitment issue...

as far as ur paint goes, i cannot tell towell due to me using a laptop... but my guy had absolutely no prob matching... he didnt even have to blend...

please keep us posted on the fitment issue, as i seem to b having the same problem. it looks like ass, but for the time i took to remove the rivets and remove all that ******* double sided tape........ i'll deal..sad to say.

in the light that was there it looked ok. after the pos they had me driving almost caused me to wreck twice i was more then ready to have my car back. when i got home i sat on the ground and did a through investigation and discovered all this s*** and the light changed, thats how i saw the paint. jeff wyler is never getting my business, im taking my s*** elsewhere to fix it

btw, your bumper will ALWAYS be a slightly different color than the fenders because the bumper is a diff material.

when i bought my p5 there was something wrong wtih the fogs that it started to bubble the paint under the fogs. they repainted under warranty, and it was a very slightly different color (dealership not some joe schmoe). long story short they repainted the thing another time then so did a different dealer, same results, with TINY unoticable variances.

wehn i got my urethane lip done it was the same story. i dont think you will match it up unless you just get lucky. if they match the paint up correctly i think it will always be a tad different. i didnt believe them but then i looked at a few of the cars stock and they did indeed have slightly diff tones to them. but if you werent looking or trying to point out you would never notice...which brings me to say i cant tell in the pics.

matthew is entirely right, ur body / urethane = diff material... so it'll be a bit off... also check ur door handles / maybe the spoiler... being that the door handles are plastic i think, it may be a slightly diff shade w/ diff lighting... just my op.im sorry ur unhappy tho, i guess u live and learn... donjt take it to the same shop...

stupid question if wyler sux so much y does every1 from cinn seem to go there?

** not instigating... just wondering if its price or friend hookup or?

the color on my stock bumper and lip is off a hell of a lot more than that. And that was from the factory... ******* mazda.

in person its a lot worse. its not silver, its grey. and they were supposed to blend the paint over the hood and down the fenders so you dont notice. i even held my original lip up to the new one and you could tell the difference there.
