Bluetooth ringer volume - too loud!

Does anyone know of a way to lower the volume of the bluetooth phone ringer when you get a new call? I always get startled by it since it's very loud.

You can turn it down while it's ringing, but you have to turn the volume back up when you are talking to the person.

We've noticed the same, very annoying problem. It's so loud it not only startles us adults in the front seats, it wakes up our sleeping 1- and 3-year olds in the second row!

There are several posts about this, if you do a search i think someone mentioned a way to turn it down. I can't remember off the top of my head.
