teh blue will be mine!!1

after my blue si, and now after seeing the msp in that color, i better go get one. 2 of my friends have black cars and we all wash our cars the same day. one day later, theirs' look like s*** and a week later, mine looks like someone just waxed the beast. bright blue just shows absolutely no dirt compared to most colors.

wait till the Orange Mazda 3 comes comes out Spicey owners. It's been announced. It's a different name, hopefully a really different shade of orange or Mazda will F you guys over as well.

Where did you see a announcement....

You guys dont like the silver but you love the titanium? I dont understand. Im not flaming anyones tastes, or trying to start a "whos color is better" war. This is what I did. I was down at my local mazda dealer. and in the show room, they had a yellow 2003.5, and a Titanium 2003.5, and one Black 2003. The yellow showed off the cars lines the best in my opinion. In second was the black, cuz when clean it looks absolutely gorgeous. And finally I decided I liked the Titanium the least. Its just dull. I mean the paint almost matches the color of the wheels, so theres no contrasting colors anywhere! It looks like the color of my grandmas old buick, because anything brighter will ruin her vision more than its already ruined. The silver is even more dull. Which I dont like at all. These lighter colors "gray, silver" just dont reflect enough light or anything to give the car any attitude. It just sits there. It doesnt stand out or say anything ot you. The orange and yellow scream for attention. Now I also understand attention is exactly what some of you dont want. WHich is why you stuck with the more subtle colors. but you all rave about the titanium and how its the best color for the msp. But I just dont see it. If your gonna take a protege , whip it up to look better with body work, rims, nice exhaust tip, spoiler, etc you might as well throw some wicked colors out there. Ferrari red with those gun metal rims would look sick! But silver? Titanium?! Hmmm.....

I think the Titanium is the ugliest MazdaSpeed color, period. But thats my opinion.

My favorite, thats very hard cause I love the rest.

Try the Mazda 3 thread maybe????

It's called sunset orange i think. On the higher Mazda 3 model only.

And as for titanium being dull....you never seen it in the sun obviously. I actually have troubles cleaning it in the sun because it's so bright, it's like looking at a damn light bulb at certain angles.

Jesus. i feel like I'm saying the same s*** over and over again.

All the colors look dull on overcast days with the exception being Black. hold your opinion of either color until you see it in the sun, and not. Even the blue looks it's best in sun but has nowhere near the difference in it compared to orange, yellow, and titanium.

Silver, should be just silver most times, as black should be black, but the other 3 NEED sun to look their best.

I'm sick of people looking at the yellow on a overcast day and calling it..dull, mustardy....then the ones that see it in sun are like WOW. Hello slappy! Ultra Metallic paint??? Ever hear of it?

How someone that owns a silver car can say that the titanium is horrible makes me laugh....slappy! the damn car is silver in the sun!

Orange: Amazing in sun, sparkles, goldish tint. No sun....peachy., almost tomato in color

Yellow: Dull mustard yuck color with no sun. Looks like Gold in sun similar to orange with it's sparkles

Titanium. Plain grey with no sun. Metal color with silver, and blue going through it in sun with s*** loads of metallic.

Get the f'n idea? See them in both conditions first, then make an opinion.

The silver and blue in these pics are not in the sun, and they look like crap. In person, I'm betting the colors are gorgeous.

To each his own, everyone has an opinion, and everyone has different taste..thank god, but see these things in direct light 1st eh?

i searched the mazda 3 section for orange and mazda3forums.com for orange and didnt find anything, perhaps you could enlighten me.

I also searched google for sunset orange and found the 350z color which is a burnt rusty orange and searched for mazda sunset orange and found reference to mazda pickups which had the same burnt rusty orange color as many rangers and the 350z

doo!
the blue looks just like my 2000 Si
i loved that color
the only other car with the same color at that time was 2.3 CLK Compressor.

so far i have 3 fav MSP colors:
Orange (hehe)
Titanium (damn sexy)
Blue (in memory of my Si........R.I.P.)

This was posted sometime ago...I couldn't find the link, but I had it in my email as well.

Completely not related to this topic...sorry, but read the colors....waaaay down below

Canadian Mazda3 specs/packaging (sedan)

OK, I found out that Canadian dealers have already ordered the first batch and I went to see a dealer tonight. I have ALL the specs/colours/option packaging for the Canadian Mazda3 sedan and hatch. It's like 20 pages worth so I'm just summarizing the stuff here, if any particular questions, post them and I'll answer.

I'm posting the sedan info on this thread and another one for the hatch.

Standard features with respective trims

GX trim:
- 2.0l, 148hp, 135lb-ft, no variable valve timing
- 4-wheel discs
- P195/65R15 with wheel covers
- exhaust garnish
- AM/FM radio with clock and 2 speakers
- tilt and telescopic steering wheel
- internal trunk release
- mechanical HVAC controls
- dual front airbags
- adjustable rear seat headrests (even the N.American-spec Mazda6 sedan doesn't have this)
- floor mats
- illuminated ignition key

GS trim (all GX plus below):
- 15-inch alloys
- front mud guards
- rain-sensing intermittent wipers
- auto light control (what this means exactly, I don't know)
- AM/FM CD player with clock and 4 speakers
- steering wheel audio controls
- map lamps
- keyless entry

GT trim (all GS plus below):
- 2.3l, 160hp, 151lb-ft, variable valve timing
- P205/55R16 alloys
- ABS with EBFD
- fog lights
- AM/FM CD player with clock and 4 speakers, 2 tweeters
- air conditioning
- power windows
- anti-theft alarm
- two-tone sport type cloth seats (this is really cool, it's like the MX Sportif & RX-8)
- 3-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel
- leather shift knob
- carbon-like finish on center panel (similar to the ones on the Mazda6, I guess this is why the glossy 'piano-black' from the MX Sportif was removed)
- cruise control, buttons on steering wheel

The most fully loaded car is a GT with GFX package and leather seats (leather is black-only, not 2-tone).

GFX package:
- moonroof
- P205/50R17 alloys
- sporty bumpers
- side sill extensions
- body coloured grille

Basically, the GFX package looks like picture #'s 1, 9, and 10 on MazdaUSA's Mazda3 section. The regular one looks like picture #'s 2, 6, and 7.

Colours:
- black mica
- sunlight silver metallic
- titanium gray metallic
- indigo blue metallic
- sand mica
- velocity red metallic
- sunset orange metallic (GFX only)
- arctic white

Transmissions (for all trims):
- 5-speed manual standard, 4-speed sport mode auto optional

Coefficient of drag is poor:
- .320 for 15-inch wheel versions
- .331 for 16-inch wheel versions
- .332 for 17-inch wheel versions

Speed limiter:
- 188km/h for 2.0l, N/A for 2.3l

To answer my own questions from earlier, no HID's, no tire-pressure sensors, no automatic-climate controls.

N. American Job #1 is scheduled for Sep. 16, 2003, sedan and hatch coming together.

Remember: This is Canadian only, for USA I know it's going to be i and s trims.

No pricing info yet.

Why everyone are fighting over a damn car color :wtf: !!! Everyone got their own taste anyway  !!! The best would be to have the six differents colors in a row on the same picture and under the same condition (sun, light, etc), then we could see more likely which color is the nicest !!! Meanwhile, my favorites colors are Titanium, orange and blue :D !!! Yellow is also nice, but you'll have to say hello to mister cops ;) !!! The only low I see on the titanium is that the wheel's color is almost alike the body's color, but I guess I could live with that  !!!

jersey_emt what dealer ship was that at ? was it the one on 22 ?

if it was i just picked it up to day :D :D :D

(shocked)(omg) (omg) (omg)(shocked)

I am officially jealous. I made my choice. The blue and yellow are both my favorite.

BTW, I've seen ALL the colors w/light and no light except for Laser Blue. I'll check that out sometime this week. So my opinion has backbone. As for silver...well...its silver, but I've always like the simple and constantly clean look of silver. It can never be dull to me. It's just...well...silver lol

The color they should have had is RED. What the heck were they thinking? How can you have a sport compact without red as an option.

(hand) What is this world coming to? Shame on Mazda (no)

seriously, Red should definitely be in there. like a titanium red, if that makes sense. a blood red color, with all the reflective qualities of the titanium. it would have hints of orange in it. that would be sweet. if anyone does that, IT WAS MY IDEA!!!!

No ones arguing over colors here. I simply dont like the titanium, and was hoping someone could make some good points as to how it is a good color in THEIR eyes? I have seen all the colors I judged in my previous post in all lighting conditions. Sunny, Rainy, Foggy, Overcast.... I've even seem the Titanium in the middle of my mall surrounded by neon lights, and it still didnt look good. Am I missing something? lol Ferrari red would be best. :p

inside with lights on it, the titanium is just grey. Mine was inside the showroom with spot lights pointed at it, and you could barely tell it was even metallic.

anyhow, red would have been really cool. Like the red on the rx-8 with all the metallic through it...omg

maybe next year
