blown tranny can anyone help?

i have a 99 1.8l protege and recently blew the manual tranny. i was wondering if i could easily replace it with a 1.6 or 2.0 manual tranny. if anyone can help me appreciate it

your transmission is an F25M-R. other models came with this transmission, but with different gear ratios. all US/CAN 1.8l protege's model year 1996 and up, came with the same f25m-r that you need. check out protegefaq.net for more info.

but would the 1.6 or 2.0 bold right on? the different gear ratios dont matter to me unless theyll hurt anything
