So I was coming back home tonight and I was getting a little foot happy in 1st from a stop sign and all of a sudden I hear rattling and have erratic idle. Limping back home on 3 cylinders I start getting the flashing check engine light, only code that pulls up is cylinder 4 misfire. So im guessing it is not a ghost code and I now have to take care of it. Anyways I can go on about how pissed I am but that will not help my concerns/problems.
I want to do a full rebuild, but do it the right way. Yes I am talking about a full forged rebuild. I know it will be expensive, but I just don't want this to happen again in another 110k miles on stock boost... I've been going through cr3motorsports site and I'm seeing the wiseco pistons, rings, locks, wrist pins at a 9-1 compression. I'm a complete noob to all the engine talk so I will be asking quite a few questions, forgive my ignorance.
I'm also seeing the K1 connecting rods. Is there anything else that will be needed for a full forged rebuild? I want to buy the parts myself and take it somewhere to have it rebuilt if this helps.
Please if anyone can link me to all the parts needed for a good rebuild, I would greatly appreciate it. Please include gaskets and other small parts as I have no idea where to begin. Thanks for reading and your time. Hope to be zoom zooming soon again. (blowup)
