Blowing lots of smoke almost Daily!!

I looked around for solutions and explanations and havent really found anything directly relater so hopefully someone knows whats going on.

My msp has 45000 miles, aftermarket exhaust and a few other little things. I burn oil, once a week i add about a quart. Ill check the dipstick and one day its 1/4 full, the next day i check it same time and its full. then next day back down again, or even reads empty. not sure if theres a common issue with this?
Also biggest problem, i live at the top of a hill, ill run the car for a minute or two before leaving, ill start going down the hill, when i get to my turn towards the bottom of the hill ill accelerate on the road which i turned onto, and then im blowing a ton of smoke everywhere, doesnt smell directly like gas or oil. after that acceleration it will usually go away. so lately ive decided to test it, if i accelerate while going down my hill it does the same thing. the smoke is whitish blue.. hard to tell the color though
I also tried this. it doesnt smoke if im at a friends house where i dont need to go down a hill. but occasionally when i go out cruising and i accelerate then let off then accelerate again it blows out smoke, nothing close to the cloud i get on my hill though.

When i had it at the mechanic last i had them check valve guides/seals, head gasket etc. everything checked out fine, he suggested that it could be the turbo going.
when i had my clutch done and some other things they fixed the rear main seal and the gasket from the turbo to oil pan. and since then i feel as if it smokes more often.

Whats really getting me worried is that with a normal acceleration leaving my friends house i left a nice big black spot on his concrete blocks in his driveway directly behind my exhaust. if im truly burning that much, whether it be gas, oil, or both I need help!

Also im lucky to get 21 mpg, what does everyone normally get?

Thank you so much for any help or suggestions. and sorry for the long post

Is it coming out of the exhaust or burning off the engine. If the car is losing that much oil it won't be hard to find where its coming from.

its blowing out of the exhaust, and the other day it left a nice big black mark at my friends house when i left, all seals are good, i dont see any traces of burning oil anywhere.. thats why im left to believe its the turbo. cant tell

Sounds like turbo seals are going bad. You may want to consider a gt28rs lol. My car burns allot of oil on startup but never downhill.just make sure to always top up ur oil constantly

i check my oil almost daily. i realized again when leaving from a friends house the next morning it doesnt do it. so the main thing im thinking, im running really rich and by going downhill with backpressure its sucking in what ever is sitting in the exhaust and blowing it out when i accelerate.
Very likely something internal, we fixed the gaskets to the oil pan etc. may look into having it rebuilt, dont know much about turbos so ill definitely need any help i can get
thanks

with a tune that will help the gas problem, because there is definitely raw fuel being burned, will it help oil ratio too? maybe too much oil for the turbo? causing it to burn them both

I can tell you it's not piston rings because it would smoke all the time. If its not seals in the turbo could possibly be Pcv valve. Also being hard in it will give really bad gas mileage

Do you have oil in water or water In oil?

There is no oil in water or water in oil.oil is clean, but the level seems to change daily too. one day itll be full the next day close to empty, and the next day will have a significant amount more. its always parked in the same spot etc..

PCV! i had not thought of that and i will give that a shot, hoping that helps since its quite a bit cheaper than a turbo fix.

if its the seals that are bad, what do you suggest? find a place that rebuilds them and see what they say? im assuming you can repair the seals and be much cheaper than a new turbo right

Get the Purolator 1047 PCV it's for the MillenniaS. Pull of the hot pipe to see if the turbo is blowing oil. Your exhaust naturally collects moisture after you turn the engine off and that will blow out while driving but it won't be that much.

so dont go with a stock replacement pcv?
when i first got the car we took the pipe from fmic to maf to engine off and cleaned it out, it was a mess. it had set off the MAf sensor a week after i bought the car :/ Ive been told that when were out cruising and i accelerate it blows smoke too, not enough for me to see, but the car behind me gets a good bit.

Also, lately ive been going down my hill in neutral, only putting it into gear at the bottom, no noticeable smoke. is this because less gas is being used? which may be helped with a pcv?

you should be checking the oil when the engine is cold and on level ground...you shouldn't have low oil one day then high the next?

The PV 1047 is also under $3 and what many of us use. I quit using the oem part or equivalent years ago after discovering that it was leaking. The Purolator has never done that and it is much cheaper than getting a genuine Mazda part for the supercharged Millenia S.

ok ill look into those, that should help the unburned fuel problem hopefully right? any ideas on the oil, what do i go about doing to fix the turbo, does anyone know about rebuilds?

Thanks for your help guys.
I check my oil level ground every day and there is some large jumps in the level that the dipstick shows, still confuses me why it would do that..

IMO, the pcv has nothing to do with the type of smoking that you are experiencing. The PV 1047 is a good one to use to replace an old one however. And your driving style and or engine's condition may be the cause of your below average MPGs. I have 91,3XXX miles that were all put on by me and I have never had that low of an MPG result. Have you ever changed the spark plugs and air filter on the car? And what RPM to you typically wind out and shift at? I'm guessing that most of your driving is city in nature as well.

Your turbo or valve train could be the only possible causes of that amount of smoke coming out of your exhaust under load.

Everyone tells me i drive like a grandma, i dont want to beat the car on a normal occasion. and i hope its not engine condition, its only got 45k. original owner put 38k on it until i bought it last august..

Im not going to bother with pcv, youre right, it wont make any difference,
i will however clean all my intake piping again, i havent done it since august. hopefully that will clean it up.
I really hope that the turbo isnt going, but its better to get it fixed now, then have it totally go later on right?

there was no air filter and no pcv hose in the car when i bought it, when he sold me the car there was a home depot pipe for the intake with no filter.. and the top right of the engine had the hole so i found a small filter to fill it in. ill try to find a link for a pic.

in the pic below you see the small, maybe 1 inch filter. also now i have an injen CAI instead of the home depot crap haha
