Blank Switch Plate

I have a 2004 Mazda 3, and I just ordered an in-line RF Modulator (iSimple IS77). This unit comes with a mountable on/off switch. I was planning on mounting the switch on the left side of the wheel where the dimmer wheel is, but (i have not received the iSimple yet) but I belive the surface will need to be flat, rather than bubbled out.

I was wonder if anyone know of a 'flat' replacement I could use or a better/different spot to mount it.

You might try looking through a junkyard. Some other Mazda models had flatter blank plates for the switch areas..... I want to say 626, 929, protege, etc. Everyone I've seen so far has been swappable with the 3's blank spots.
