Black ASA AR1 wheels on a Titanium Mazdaspeed MX-5 Miata

why not get 16"? 17" just seem to heavy and big for a miata. and I like the "they felt a few pounds lighter." LOL!

Had those same rims been available in 16", I *may* have gone with them. But I like the look of 17" wheels on the Miata. Plus mine makes enough power to turn them quick enough: 178 RWHP on a Dynojet. In a car as light as a Miata, 178 horses to the wheels is fairly quick. I haven't ran it at the drag strip yet, but the car feels just a tad faster than my MSP with the Injen CAI, Spool hardpipes with GRedddy Type-S BOV, Apex 2.5" catted downpipe, and TurboXS MBC set at 10 or 11 psi, which ran a 14.6 @ 98mph at Englishtown Raceway Park. Plus the suspension is upgraded from a regular Miata, and was designed with the heavy stock 17" wheels in consideration.

I don't regret my choice to go with larger, heavier wheels for a little more style ;)

damn, how did it get into a situation that it rolled?

It's all in the thread in that link...basically someone changed lanes into me and hit my rear passenger side quarter panel, which sent me sideways.

Looks great, Justin. I had actually been considering the same wheels for the P5.
