Bicycle Rack and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)

Just added a rear hitch without the wiring harness for a bicycle rack on my 2025 Turbo Carbon. With no bicycle loaded it is not interfering with the rear sensors. But when adding a bicycle it does see the bicycle with the rear sensor and alerts when put in reverse. In looking at the users manual for a 2025 CX-5 Carbon it states the following:

If a Mazda genuine trailer hitch is used, the RCTA is automatically turned off when the trailer's electrical connector is connected.

When pulling a trailer other than with a Mazda genuine trailer hitch, or while an accessory such as a bicycle carrier is installed to the rear of the vehicle, turn off the RCTA. Otherwise, the radar’s radio waves will be blocked causing the RCTA to not operate normally.

Turning off RCTA in Mazda Connect works, but it enables it again after you restart the vehicle. So, I have to do this every time I start the vehicle when using the bike rack. So, can someone with the Mazda genuine trailer hitch comment on how it works with the trailer's electrical connector is connected. I see doing an internet search that it changes how the CX-5 shifts and operates. One comment was that the Turbo is also disabled. I want to install the Mazda harness and then connect a 4-way pin socket tester to enable the RCTA disable when carrying bicycles on the bike rack.

I have a 2023 cx5 turbo with mazda hitch but I did not do the trailer wiring as I am only using it or a bike rack. I have a 1 up bike rack and with bikes I do not have any issues with the RCTA it works as normal. I have a friend with CX50 turbo and he says he has the same issue that his vehicle tries to auto brake when he has the bikes on and puts it in reverse. Not sure why mine is fine.
