better ride tire for stock 17 rim

I'd like to find some tires with a nicer ride than the stock goodyears. For where I live traction on wet roads needs to be decent too. It doesn't seem like there are a lot of choices for a 17*6.5 rim but I was thinking about Kumho ECSTA ASX. If anyone has these tires please let me know if it improved the road noise. Any other suggestions for P205/50R17 tires that would provide a nice ride let me know. Thanks.

Based on what I've read here and on other 3 forums, the Ecsta ASXs are the best riding tire that will fit on the stock 17" rim. I plan on getting these to replace the crummy RS-As once they finally wear out.

I have the Ecstas and absolutely love them. 5,000 miles on them already and they look better, ride better, sound better, grip better and wear longer than the Badyears.

I am 100% satisfied with my purchase.

I think I paid $465 for mine out the door. Tires, mounting, balancing, stems, disposal and tax.

The only complaint I had was that the tire shop wouldn't let me buy Road Hazard because it's a low-profile tire. I think that's complete :bs: but that has nothing to with the tires themselves. :D

Not sure where you are in Michigan, but Discount Tire can offer you the 100% Replacement Road Hazard warranty even on tires they do not sell.

Yeah, I bought mine at tire rack. Cost me 98$ and their rating was nearly perfect. Yokohamas H4S for those of you wondering.
