Better audio quality in the MP3?

A small 4 channel can often be bridged to give a reaqlly good amount of power to 2 speakers.
Can you really run two front speakers off of a bridged 4 channel amp and still get stereo? Cause I was thinking of getting the rockford fosgate 301s to run my infinity components.

Yeah, I was looking at those. I guess I'd be willing to spend $300 or under on the head unit. I'm debating between the 22x4 RMS Pioneer P7600MP Premier with the bling bling display, or the Alpine 9813 with the not so great-looking display, but 27x4 RMS. The point of my thread suggests I should be going with the Alpine, but I could always do the Pioneer and get an amp down the road. Hmph. I just hate how I can hardly see my kenwood during the day, and the Alpine doesn't look like it'll be much better for that, hence the Organic EL displays...

I'm definitely going to do the head unit first, for detachable face needs...

What is involved in wiring up the higher-powered Alpine?

I have a pioneer radio with the EL screen and its very clear during the day. I got tired of the animations and just have the basic screen now. So I wouldnt recommend that as a basis to choose which radio you want.

You are looking at the typed words of someone who has it in his car that way: Eclipse EA3422 bridged running my CDTs.

As for the HU...seriously...the Kenwood is a decent unit, so you can probably sell it and make a little bit of cash. Then you'll have more to spend towards another one. Also...the Premier stuff is good. Obviously, not as powerful as the Alpines, but still a very good product. If I didn't want to get the new Eclipse Double DIN Vid/Nav set-up, then I would have gone with that...mainly because I have amps in the car, so HU power doesn't matter much to me.

The bottom line, is that if you are gonna spend the money, spend it right the first time. A new HU might be the way for you to go initially...and selling your old one will subsidize that. But beyond that, I say you should listen to speakers and contemplate a 50w amp. Like I said before...400$ can go a long way to making a really good sounding system in a car...look at JL Audio's Vibe show car from a few years ago...they used all e-series amps and TR series speakers with w0 subs. All their cheapest stuff...and it was one of the best in show for SQ.

Yeah, I might have to check one out. Whats a decent head unit from Alpine? Keep in mind my original price for getting better quality was $200, so you know that I'm not a big spender.

To be honest, even though its completely lame, I like the fancy-schmancy graphics of the Pioneer, even though they're completely useless. I know Alpines don't have these because they focus on sound quality over bling bling. So whats a decent unit from Alpine that plays MP3?

A good amp will bridge and stay stereo. I know form experince the alpine amps do. No clue on the RF amps.

Those numbers aren't real as neither were with the standard test. Expect the pioneers to come in lower then that now. Both are good units but I feel the 9813 is a better.

I have yet to have my alpine display washed out.

griding a 4 channel amp just takes both left channel and puts them as one and both right channels and puts them as one so u still have left and right all 4 channel amps work this way.

i agree spend a few dollars more now so u dont have to upgrade down the line. u dont have to buy new gear every couple years. i'd put my 7 year old mbquarts up against most guys newly bought stuff anyday.
