2004 srt-4 Black wanna race?
besides any of the t28 or the gtrs or any of those your thoughts?

I definitely think the GT28RS is the best match possible for the FS-DE. Good spool-up time, good power...it's the best compromise for a street car IMO

i second that....gt28rs

First choice is the disco patato for ease of install, quik spool, trim, quality.

but there are a few more great turbos.
or you can go crazy and something like a T58BB w/ 1.15trim

straight bolt on I would say GT28rs all the way. I personally like the T3/T4 ball bearing hybrid. I will hopefully have that in the next month.

the best turbo depends on your goals for the car and what you plan to do with it. "best" really means nothing, it's too broad

probably either the gt28rs or the gt30r if you're trying to make more power... but spool up time would be slower, so it really depends on the supporting mods, which would make the gt28rs more logical

You've got a T25R, no not the GT25R, they're different models.
Any flow chart will tell you that unless you are pushing over, lets be leanient and say 325 whp, you'll have the fastest spool on the low end and will need forged internals WAY before you max out the turbo.

I don't know how to post a .pdf page but garrett's chart says a 2.0 should be able to make 300 hp on a 2.0 since a GT22 (according to the same chart) can post 280 hp on a 2 liter.

The T25 is only efficient to between 230-250 hp unmodified. The GT28R to about 280, the GT28RS to about 320, and the GT30R (hiboost's project) to 500hp. The thing is that Garrett lists the min HP for an efficient GT30R at 350HP. I am thinking as soon as you install that kit your car is no longer a daily driver. Garrett recommends for between 200 to 420HP on a 2.0-2.7L engine, so this would be ideal for dual maps. The bad part about the GT32 is that it is a journal bearing (not ball bearing), which means slowing spooling. If I upgrade, I will go with the GT28RS because I plan to get between 320-350HP on mine. I will be keeping an eye on the success of those who buy the Hiboost kit though.

gt28rs all the way!!!

i hope so anyways?!

Garrett charts clearly states you don't need anything more than a T25 ball bearing. This is an OEM chart so the numbers factor in with converters and other emission controls. Once you uncork your airways, you'll decrease negative boost and the turbo will be more effecient.

I mean, I have no problems with other turbos but, why waste the money? If the manufacturer says its good enough for them, its good enouhg for me.
