I'm trying to get some pricing info on the Mazda extended warranties. I'm primarily interested in the "Stated Care" and "Total Care" packages for the 10 yr/100k term (not overly concerned about the deductible). My understanding is that while the car is new enough (and all speed3s generally are), the warranty can be purchased from any dealer, so I just want the lowest price.
I know I saw somewhere on this board that someone got the warranty for around $800, and I'd like to get it around there.
Now, I know arguments about putting the $$ in the bank, skipping the warranty, etc.., but my last new car incurred $6k in warranty bills against a $1.2k warranty cost, so I'm already way ahead. Besides, my wife is prone to shutting down the car immediately rather than letting it idle down, so I think I need to factor in a new turbo as given into this....
The old warranty co (WarrantyDirect) will sell me a warranty for $1.3k, plus $200 if I want the full emissions coverage, so that's my upper bound.
I'd like to hear what sort of deals you guys got.
