Bent Rods & Cracked Block :(

Just wanted to let everyone out there know what happened to mine. The mechanic said the rod and block had to be messed up for some time since I've heard the "ticking" noise for a few thousand miles. They found this when the clutch went out and they replaced it and and it was still making noise. You can see the crack in #3 and the Hot Spotting in #2. #4 had the bent rod.. Which was bent in 2 different ways which is unheard of.

Car was never driven hard and sat a lot due to me working from home.

Got a new short block on order from Mazda and getting the rods switched out with K-1s so this doesn't happen again. Also getting the Balance Shaft removed.

Got my block rebuilt with K1 rods and some other goodies as well as a new clutch!!!! Everything is running smooth again and cant be happier!
