I got forced in mid turn onto a ramp in downtown Sacramento into the curb ruining my back rim and tire. After getting a new tire and rim purchased and replaced I went to get alignment. I was told and showed that after hitting the curb I bent my back axle. everything being salvageable I need to know where I can find a rear axle?

i believe u can go back to ur dealer and warranty it. assuming the car has only been with u for a year.

Any accident, your on your own. I've dealt with dealerships enough.

As serious as it is, it's an easy fix. A day of work.

But I need to know where to purchase a rear axle.

I deal with this everyday, i'm an insurance claims adjuster, this is technically a covered loss. If you hit anything that causes physical dmg to your vehicle it is covered under collision. Your wheel, tire and axle should all be put in as a claim. Beings you have already replaced something you may need to present your receipts. And no, a dealer will probably not cover it, they will just tell you to call your insurance company. I would just let your insurance company source an axle for you lol.

How bad is the alignment in the rear off? All it might require is a shim where the hub bolts to the axle.

I know hale motorsports pounded one back into shop during an endurance race a few years back with just a BFH and they were good to go.

BFH fixes everything.............

That reminded me.

Didn't Hale have a rear bearing issue later? You might want to keep an eye on that hub for a while.

Good call on the hub, it doesn't take much to screw it up with a side hit.

After a month of waiting on Japan, (I thought they opened a plant in Mexico? Wouldn't that be quicker/cheaper) the dealership in SoCal recieved it and shipped it to me. I was worried that more than the axel was broken.

I went to a nicer repair shop (fireplace, leather couches, fountain, I was like Daaamn) since I was new to the area. And didn't have a hookup. They charged me $401 and installed it and aligned my tires.
They said all went we'll and everything is perfect.
It drove better than ever after I picked it up, amazingly straight and precise. Everything was great and everything went awesome. My Mazda2 has not failed me yet, except for a weird scrapping noise...
