Has anyone seen the dgmotorsports ram air hood?? look at where the air inlet is on the hood and where the air filter is on the BEGI turbo kit. They line up perfect give or take an inch that is straight cold outside air on the filter. Sounds to me like a match made in heaven.;) ;)

Yeah that is a pretty nice hood. Just have to be sure that no water gets in the filter and causes hydro-lock. I doubt that would happen tho.

BTW you are like 15 mins from me. Suprised we haven't run into each other. Maybe I'll see you at MAPP4.

The BEGI kit does have a front mount intercooler it is placed vertical on teh drivers side of the front side in front of the radiator.

You could always replace the tiny intercooler from the BEGI kit with an aftermarket one and rerun a few pipes. Just a thought, go onto www.ebay.com and do a search for intercoolers and find one you like. Just have to make sure it will fit and work efficently with the turbo and all.
I know there is nothing wrong with the BEGI intercooler, just not the "look" most people want.

I don' mind the look of the BEGI IC. Yeah it's not like most turbo'ed CIVIC's  but at least it's front mounted..

I'm all go and no show, so this part of the system doesn't bug me at all. Remember, it was designed by "the man" so it obviously has it's benefits and makes the install easier.

Regarding the DGM hood: I like the way the ram air looks, but am not a fan of the carbon hood look. A little too rice for me. Now if it came in a paintable primer, that would be another story.

who says you cant primer and paint it yourself

you would get all the benifits of a carbon fiber hood only with out having a black hood

I dont concider anything as expencive as CF rice

If someone was to get their hands on the DG Ram Air Hood, painted it to match their car, but left ram air duct unpainted. I think that would look dope..:D

Bill at FM actually mentioned this when I was over there...He was thinking of getting the hood and making a special box to fit around the filter so basically it would get all of its air from the scoop in the DG Motorsports hood.

It would certainly be a cool set up...
