BEGI MSP FMIC Ready!!!

Can I get polished pipes instead of black ones? I'd like it to match my Turbohoses IC to TB hardpipe.

I just got back from BEGi. They WILL offer a hard return pipe.
Price is not set yet. $800 was just an example, but now that they will make a hard return pipe it will be more, but I am sure it will be competitive with the other. I would expect around $900.
The BEGi FMIC lowered the intake temperatures 35 F and it was 35% more efficient than the stock SMIC.

That is why Corky is the mang!

The intercooler master...

I still want to know if I can get these pipes polished, because if I can, I'll be the first person ordering this kit (once I get the money, that it!). I don't like the look of the black pipes as much as polished chrome.

yeah i agree all the black powder coating ive seen looks like crap...kinda reminds me of a BBQ Grill heh..

Now if someone could make a exact match of the Injen Intake color black THEN i would be intrested until then Polished for me !

Bell makes a Cobra replica that sells for over $100,000. It has twin turbos and powder coated mild steel pipes. I don't think they will offer any options, it is probably not worth it for them.

Dammit, I guess I'll be sending these pipes along with my mani heatshield to get chromed and polished (if I get this kit, which it looks like I probably will).

I just re-read an earlier post and it says that we can't get it without the return pipe. I was hoping I could get it cheaper. I need a job...

In every run the pressure drop across the BEGi IC was 0.5 psi. During one of the runs, the stock SMIC had a pressure drop of 4 psi. Average drop was 2.28 psi for the stock SMIC and 0.5 for the BEGi.

I see Corky finally let the cat outta the bag. He told me about it last year when I was there, and showed the prototype to me. Everything on that car was pretty much designed from scratch! He wanted to make a Cobra that a 7ft tall man could drive comfortably.

The Cobra and a Toyota MR2 V6 will be feature in a future issue of Car and Driver.

price is coming next week, i've been prodding Corky for it :D
My car is back in their shop. I am trying to convince them to make a short ram intake as an option for the FMIC kit since no one offers a SRI yet and those with stock intake that want to ungrade to the BEGi FMIC will probably want an intake also. Just an intake by itself sells for over $200.

After I get some forged rods, I might ask Corky to swap my turbo T25R for the T3 they used for the Protege kits since they already have everything on the shelf to bolt it right on.

Ken- any chance you can get core dimensions next time to talk to Bell? I'm slowly breaking down to the idea of keeping the smaller MSP radiator...
