the temp, humidity and baro were almost exactly the same as when i had the stock dyno.

they did 4 pulls. 2 pulls wait 5 min then 2 more. runs 1 and 3 were the same hp/tq wise but 2 and 4 were down on hp by about 10 at 267. on all 4 runs the tq was within about 5 ft/lbs.

not as high of hp gains as i thought but the torque more than makes up for it.

+5hp,+36tq

at 3000rpm the hp gain is about 25 and the torque gain is about 53.

stock run is blue. mazdaspeed intake run is red.

Good post! I have a few questions:

Were these done with the hood up or down?
Also, did they have fans blowing on the front of the car?
What gear? (Looks like 4th)

And, what is up with that spike at about 5550 RPMs? That looks like an anomaly which is affecting the results. Smoothing that out would show more like 10-12 HP gain, but not consistent with what I got from my dynos. I suspect the hood was left open. It makes a big difference from stock to MS CAI when the hood is open vs closed with fans blowing on the front of the car.

Check this thread for before and after dynos:

hood was up. the had 3 fans blowing. sort of like this _-_ . 2 into my lower grill and one in front of the intercooler.

was yours with the hood closed. the heat soak was terrible.

they were done in 5th gear. 5th is closest to 1:1. dyno guy said a 4th gear run would be slightly higher by 2-3 hp.

i dont know about that spike but it didnt happen when i did the after dyno and all the settings were the same.
