bc coilovers + camber kit?

heres the deal, i plan on getting the bc coilovers, and i will be dumping the car all of the way down as far as i can with them (2.0"-2.5")

will i need the camber plates? im just unsure of the difference between these and getting an alignment. if i were to get an alignment, should i set the camber at -1?? what about the front? (smash)

The BC coilovers have camber plates built in...have you read up on them? You should take a look at my thread below my sig, mentions some things you might want to know before the install. Good luck

ive visited your thread many times haha, its what directed my attention towards them in the first place, and its been a huge help. i guess i just mis understood, i thought that you could only set the camber for the front. what would you recommend i set it to with the built in plates?

The plates that come wth the kit are only for the front. There is no such thing as a camber plate for the back. There are camber arms, i have the mazdaspeed one however if i could do it again I would get the SPC adjustable arms from SU as they are cheaper and are adjustable. Hope this helps :)

I have mine at -2

oooooh, god im sucha noob. i appreciate your help though! i cant wait to copy your setup! im going to get the hotchkins sways too.

Just so you know they don't have the camber plates included anymore. I just got mine and to my disappointment no front camber plates.

I see you are in Germany correct? Did you get them from a German source or from USA? I just got mine in at the beginning of the month and they have camber plates. Might wanna check your source to be sure you have the correct ones.

I got them from SU dot com. If you check their site they are offered as an upgrade now. I don't think it was like that when I ordered them though. I need to call them.

Yeh I'm in Germany but have a US zip code (Military) so we get what ever the shipping rates to NY are.

APO address?

A few weeks ago I called them up to place my order. I was inquiring about the coilovers they had. They told me the BC Racing came with the adjustable camber plates and I can get the deal with the rear SPC links as well. Looking at the website now, I see what you mean. Must of changed it. Or BC Racing changed it because looking at some of the other websites that sell them, they don't have the adjustable camber plates either. Hmmmm, must of been a one time deal?

Yeh I need to call them, When I ordered mine they didn't have the option for the front camber plates so I would think they should have came with them. I finished installing mine already so Its not a huge deal, but I will call them.

And yes its an APO address.

When i bought mine (I was the first to have these on the forum) there was talk of the plates being an option since some people would not want to cut off the top hats on their cars and was thus hurting sales. I guess it finally went through...sucks. If PG has it with the camber kit then its probably old stock that he has, im sure soon he will have the option as well.

PG's website says it does not come with camber plates. I checked there too as soon as AGM130 said SU's website had the camber link option added. I guess if someone is looking for a set, they better find someone else with old stock!

Yeh called SU today. They said they tried to get a hold of me before my order shipped to ask me what I wanted to do concerning the change. They said they were trying to get in touch with BC to find out if they can offer them separately.

ouch, is the standard kit cheaper now that it doesnt have plates? It should or id be kinda upset.

Nope same price. I think BC caught word of the hole saw to the top hat thing and probably just changed the product and left it the same price. Since this one actually fits the car.

Only a guess though

Damn, guess I shoulda kept my mouth shut...sorry, the plasma cutter thing was just dumb though and the hole saw was perfect.

Yeah, but it still fits without cutting it. Mine has not been cut yet. I forgot to buy a 3" hole saw before I did the install. I'll just make time to do it later in the month. Does it come with blank top plates now? Or did you need a spring compressor to take off the stock plates and bolt them up the the BC shocks?
