the new 1.03 patch is definately problematic. i've read on a few forums that people are getting the 'patching failed' error, like i was. so all these workarounds such as copying the source files into the bf2 directory and running from the command line are needed to get it work. but then it seems it alters the serial key in the registry so you have to do some more tweaking to not get booted off every server. then after this new patch, everyone is a fuking 4-star general. way to go EA !!
