Battery connections for large power cable?

Poked around a bit and saw the pic's that G85 posted. What else are you guys doing for large cable connection (2ga in my case) to the battery?

most aftermarket battery terminals will accept a 0 guage.

Sorry, let me try to clarify my question... G85 used a crimp connector on his cable and connected that to the existing battery terminal, as seen here:

So I was interested in seeing how other people are doing it?


On my Durango & PTC I used a PG battery connector and replaced the hex screw with a post. Attached the PG to the battery and the factory terminal to the post on the PG. Pic attached but it isn't very good, you can kind of see what I'm talking about.

Anyhow, I don't think that will fit under the battery cover on the MS3. Any ill effects of not running with the battery cover?

You can get some corrosion without the battery cover, especially if there is any knicks or scratches on your battery terminals.

Not a big deal really, the batteries will RARELY get screwed up if they aren't dam. already!

I did it this way. Very clean and the wire is protected with a fuse.
