Bat's Mazda 6 Smoke Headlight Overlay(PICS)!

Are these like permanant vinyl or do you have to pull them off to use the headlights? Do they effect beam brightness at all?

this is a really silly question. of course they affect brightness!!!!

the only reason something appears black to our eyes is because it absorbs all colours of the light spectrum (light contains 7 colours i believe), and none of each colour is relected back into our eyes. the reason we see something red is becasue that material absorbs all others and reflects just the red part of the spectrum.
so if the overlays are tinted black colour, the only way to do that is to absorb some of the light spectrum, unless there is a material that is only black on the outside and not the inside which i doubt because it is just a sheet of vinyl.

maybe its polarized or something similar

Here you go. The tint looks darker than it actually is. Cloudy days causes this. Stephen confirmed my statement that the 3/10 has no or very little affect if any on light output. Actually, he stated he couldn't tell a difference! Thanks Stephen ;).

vinyl is cooool :D I love mine! Yours looks REALLY good too. I'm hoping my friend gets all his stuff taken care of and gets his ass on here as a vendor doing this stuff for everyone else. As for brightness, I got piaa bright whites and everything looks fine at night.

BlueBatmobile how do we install these when they are available??? do we have to take off the front bumper and remove the headlights??? Also how do we apply it so perfectly like they are in the pics??? Can we just install them without taking out the headlights and leaving them right on the car???

Man oh man I can't wait for these since I have a white car these will look so badass (evil)

Damn is that the standard tint or the light tint? That looks nice!! I hope thats the standard version because that look a lil dark on the pics you took outside of your garage.

ok .. I think I need to explain a little better... anyone close to Bat, this is what vinyl looks like, so if you want it done, GO SEE HIM!! If you close to Florida, as soon as my friend gets his ass on here (he does vinyl pro style) he might be able to hook alot of people up.

The cool thing about vinyl is that if something gets messed up, or if you don't like the looks after install, it comes right off!! Thanks for the props too :D

DAYM... Looks nice, very nice!

Your car would even better with my rims
(KTP Sport Alloys - KT221 (rev-x) http://www.msprotege.com/members/Prodigy/Dsc02730.jpg )
and the OEM lip/side skirts/ rear bumper lip.

actually, I'm savin money for these http://www.akuza.com/v3.2/wheels/sublime.htm#

as for lip and everything, I'm thinkin of stayin stock and just do several performance mods .. kinda like bein the sleeper (laugh) that and I think alot of the lips and skirts are over priced. I have only seen 1 "maybe" 2 body kits that I actually liked. I'm deff NOT a big WW fan, and that whole over blown look is really just not me. All I really want to do: lowering spings (done), custom fogs (soon), wheels (17x7 250's, Akuza does make 4 lug) prob next year, and then darker tint. The only other thing I would really LOVE to do is change my interior. I wanted the black/grey but they didn't have a LX with it when I bought the car. So, I'll have to save another grand for that LOL

Nice. I hate the WW kits also.
And I wish I had black/gray interior (I love the mazdaspeeds interior)
Next on my list will be struts/springs. :)

ditto on the MSP interior .. actually wish I could find a wrecked one in my area or something and do a full swap.
