Bagged MSP

I live in Fort lauderdale. I have a Black mica msp on 19" diablo rims. I am looking for a shop that would be able to hook me up with a air bag kit for my car, and do the installation. I friend of mine said he got his done at east coast customs, but i can't get a number for them that works. Anyone know a good place to check out that would be able to help me? Thanks everyone.

MSP's have the best handling of any front wheel drive car in the world.. and you're gonna throw that all away? Shame on you.

With the 19's on the car i can't come close to using all the suspention the mazdaspeed is capable of. I like the car more for the looks. I like going fast in straight lines as well. Corners are ok, but i would much rather have the look. Thanks.

19's and air bags are gonna make you slower in the straight lines. Think 16's if you can drive...

As for where to get them done, how far are you willing to travel for them?

Leave the guy alone...just because his ideas are different then the majority.

I would bag an MSP...nothing wrong with it depending on what you are looking for out of the car...I want to handle as well...but I love to be hammered to the ground...I actually contacted Air Ride Technologies when I first got my MSP about doing a custom set-up that would give me the handling as well as the max drop. They make some of the best handling set-ups period. They have plenty of fast cars that handle well on bags.
Just a little FYI and a note to not bash a guy for being different.

??no ones bashing him, i think he coulda saved a few bucks just buying a protege if he's going for looks like he said...

This wasn't meant for you specifically...more for those that will come.I just know he will get bashed for this thought process. The MSP has a lot to offer that a regular pro does not even in bagged form.Lots of good upgrades for the money. From wheels to turbo to interior.A regular Pro just wouldn't fit the bill.

I bought the msp for a number of diffrent reason. 1. Everyone has a normal protege. 2. the interior and look of the outside. 3. It being turbo was a big plus for me. 4. I have the money to get whatever i want, the msp is what i wanted. I like the flashy look, but i also like to out run all the little rice burner honda's around where i live. With my boost at 10psi, i have really never lost a race except 1 integra on juice. Im getting ready to install my mpi tuner, new motor with forged everything, fmic. Im getting a 10.4 tv to flip from the roof of the car. Then i want to show my car, so this is perfect for what i was looking for. I contacted air ride technologies. They seem to have exactly what i was looking for and i can install it myself. Thanks all of you for your help.

the new air strut kits that are coming out have a very high ponential. the technology in air ride has changed since the day of just bags and are heading toward being just as good as a nice spring strut package

Last year I had looked into getting bags for my p5 from Rob at street beat customs. They have a complete bolt in kit that slams the p5, i assume it would work on an msp too. I also have 19s but don't think I would bag my p5 anymore. There are a couple bagged p5s' around where i live and both of them are trying to sell their bags and go with springs instead. I have Goldline springs which make all 4 tires tuck pretty nice with 19s and I still have awesome handling. Years ago I had a tacoma with bags, and what a pain. Constant upgrading and fixing led me to sell it and get another car. Bags are nice and I love the slammed look, they have come along way with bags since the old shock relocators and air shocks....good luck with what you plan on doing(2thumbs)

hey man, im actually looking to do air ride on my car too. . .i want to put in cylinders at all 4 corners, i have yet to start a correspondance with any shops (all i have looked at is a couple shops in GA and streetbeatcustoms.com)

i plan on doing the whole install myself with help from a couple buddies.

here's a pic of my car

Until i get some 18's which will allow me to slam it even when driving, for now with the 19's im only gonna be able to ride normal and slam when parked. Still will work for now cause at a show i can slam it .. it would look good. I should take a pic of my interior as well. Inside i have a 7" pioneer in-dash dvd player. All the moldings painted silver, gauge pod, kick panels, 4 12's in a sub zero floor. Car is very nice. Soon i will cut the back seat in half and ass dual nitrous bottles in a fiberglass frame to hold them up painted silver. Car will look awesome. Thanks again everyone.

Nice car, not feelin the rims though. Keep us posted with updates and more pics though. It's good to see someone doing something different.

Ugh...not diggin the rims at all. But to each his own.

Good luck with the car.

Im not sure of the exact weight, but i took one off yesterday and they are very heavy. Probably twice as much as the racing harts that were on the car weigh.

I give you props. I think the car looks great. Bags are a great idea, a friend of mine in town keeps telling me how sick the car would look on bags, so I may end up doing it. I wouldn't go with the bag/shock combo from AirRide Technologies, simply because they won't lay frame no matter how hard you try to make them. I have a friend who put them on his 240, but only in the front, and it look like ass because the front sits about where a normal drop would be, and the rear is on the ground. Another guy has bags all the way around and the car tucks like it's supposed to.
