I just got in from the drag strip, and I'm a bit disappointed. It was cold(about 10C or 50F) and cloudy. Good for power, bad for traction. I wasn't able to hook up like I wanted to, even though I had my Azenis very sticky. I was only able to get one 60' time better than the last time I was out, but on that run, I missed second gear. I did manage some decent trap speeds though, which is indicative of good power. Here are my best runs for ET, MPH and 60', in that order. (I'm number 754 in the slips) My worst reaction time was a .177, not too bad....

Best ET
15.481@88.33

Best MPH
15.532@89.36

Best 60'
2.248

Best R/T
.018

Best 1/8
9.924@70.66

yes i should talk here rather than the timeslip thread (will delete that post)

anyway, yeah i thought you'd be a bit quicker. was really hoping you'd be quicker than me. really shocked at the 60ft times! esp since i was on normal street tyres (toyo proxes t1-s)

but, good mph!

Nice runs Josh...that is a bit suprising considering the weight reduction...But trap speeds are good...

so whats next on your list?

great #s Josh. I saw your post at the Miataforum. Not far off w/ stock MSPs.. Though, with that trap speed very low 15s is possible. Good job!!!!

Ya, with good traction I would have been in the 15.2 region. As you probably know, a light car tends to have a low ET, so it shows you how bad traction was.

Jamie, I have a few other things to do before I get back into the mods. Like my driver's side power window, new gas tank, parking brake, rear tints(to hide stripped interior and a new thermoswitch(fan isn't coming on when it's supposed to). The car is 11 years old, and I've neglected the small stuff, so it's gotta be done.

I'm getting my quad throttle body set-up this month off Randy Stocker(solomiata website, and all around Miata guru), but I won't be able to install it till I get my Haltech this spring. But first thing in January, I'm finally getting my header made.

you should find some 2001+ Miata pistons for cheap in a for sale section, i always wanted to get the M2 vvt head to work with a FWD bp, but the FWD IM i dont think will mate with the M2 miata head, and you would need something to control the vvt. Good work, you are in Mazdaspeed territory! Do you have solids mounts or rear spring spacers?
