anyone runnning a awr oil pan? why dose it say it wont clear the lower tie bars?

Lower tie bars are all aftermarket so unless you plan on buying one, it's not a problem. KMR actually is selling a lower tie bar that fits with a minimal amount of modification to the bar (grinding down the powdercoat in one spot). The AWR pan is a lot bigger than the stock oil pan and is square in design. Check out the link in my sig to the suspension group buy and look through the posts. There is one where SignatureSound posted a pic of the KMR lower tie bar installed with the AWR oil pan.

lol...both are aftermarket parts...atleast awr is honest enough to tell you that THEIR product wont fit with ANOTHER companies product.

both are great products, and i believe there have been changes made so that they can fit together.

but, the awr oil pan will fit on a stock car, no issues.

I have an AWR oil pan on my car and yes there is a possible issue. The lower rear portion of the oil pan is extremely close to contacting the end of subframe where the front of the lower control arm attaches. With AWR front & rear motor mounts and AWR inserts in the sides my oil pan is less half of a cm from touching the subframe. This is not a problem if your engine does not move. Not sure if the AWR mounts change the position of the engine that much, but if you are running stock mounts, it seems to me that you'd be taking a significant risk of allowing the oil pan to wack the crap out of the subframe on hard shifts, etc.

Signaturesound modified one slightly that is being sold by another member. I plan to do the same... hence the name "modding" since it is a very slight interference and my mounts are stiff as hell and my motor pretty much doesn't move :)
