AWR mount and synth tranny fluid= :D

Installed the AWR front mount and changed the tranny fluid with Mobil1 75W-90, the car shifts and drives better than ever. Shifts are smooth, takes much less effort to shift, downshifting is waaay easier. The mount got rid of all the slop that the stock mount had. Driving in stop and go traffic is much better, and when the A/C compressor kicks on the car doesn't shudder anymore! (yippy)

And this is on 13,500 mile car!

My friend drove mine and the next day we window welded her front mount and changed the tranny fluid. Another happier P5 driver. :D

Oh yeah, I've been waiting for the mounts.....my commute was getting very annoying with the motor flopping around. It's great now.....just waiting for the injen to get here!!!

The best part is that the mount only took 10 minutes to swap-including finding the tools!

Mike - How is NVH (noise/vibration/harshness) with the AWR mount? Seeing you commute, you'd have some good insight. Thanks!

I also just recently put in the front AWR mount and I am very happy.

NVH seems to have gotten better after a couple weeks. You can only really feel/hear the extra NVH below 1000rpm (ie. seats/wheel/pedals vibrate, things rattle more).

I personally enjoy it a lot more that I can feel the engine like that :D Now I can feel more of the road on my steering wheel too, which to me is a plus.

I also have stop & go commuting and the sloppiness is much less. Even though it's still jumpy in 1st and 2nd because of the tranny, it's just more responsive, there's less delay.

But in the end what I wanted to fix was the horrible wheel hop that I would get on launches, especially on wet pavement. I couldn't step on it too hard starting up in the streets or else I'd hop all over

Now the wheel hop is minimal at the worst, and most times it's just not there, especially if there's someone else in the car with me (added weight on wheels). I love it!! I think for the first time this weekend I successfully launched leaving a mark and smoking my tires - not that I do that a lot, but it was a test.... .... right (thumb)
