Thanks to Vince and Glen for lending a hand. Made a boring job fun.

Anyway, I installed the front (95 durometer), the left and right poly inserts and the rear is on hold right now. It is a big job to tackle so I am going to wait for awhile.

Regarding the issue with the interior rattling I would have to say it is hardly noticeable. It rattles a little bit but hardly at all. When I install the 4th mount (88 durometer) I will give another update.

Performance notations: I don't know what to say....it feels the way it should feel. There is increased lashing in 1st gear but hardly any in 2nd gear. When accellerating and shifting there is no play (doesn't feel rubbery) in the tranny or engine. I have noticed an increase in handling and accelleration. The shifting and smooth transition to redline is the most noticeable advantage.

Over all I am very happy with it, so far, and it was money well spent.

Cool. Anytime man. I'm just paying for it now due to the lack of sleep but any car install is worth it.

3hrs for the 1st 3 mounts, but I could do it in 2hrs or less now that I know what tools are required and what the best procedure is.

No way we could have did the job with out it.

Dude your eyeballs were starting to pop out trying to loosen the front mount from the subframe LOL

I am going to install my front motor mount this weekend. Do I need to torque anything down or just as tight as I can make it? Any special tools I need to know about before I start? Thanks in advance for the help.

Get a long pipe for leverage. That's all. It took about 20min to get the mount off and put the new one in.

Sure. You take it for a rip if you want. I still haven't installed the 4th yet. Not sure if I will...it is so friggin smooth right now.

Maxx reg for the tunerworks bimmerfest thing. Me and Glen are going. MIke you should too, lets represent.

hehe

install the rear mount and rattling will own you!

That's phat. I want these mounts SO bad... I need my car to rattle at idle to cancel out the rattling my subs give off LOL!

Seriously though, I want it stiffer than my caak on a Friday night!

With the 3 mounts I have in there now I am very happy with the results. Rattling is still not bad. It vibrates now but not severe. I am procrastinating only because it is a big job to do that last mount.

I'll be installing the front and driver's side mounts later this week - any tips or suggestions you can offer, or things to be aware of?

TIA
