...it is an ugly install job. I mean, I can tolerate it at night because the black blends in, but my place were asking if I still had the "original radio bracket" for my car. They said my car came with a pocket (i assume with a bracket) but I said i had a double din radio...which he responded, even better. Now, I went home and checked my removed radio s*** and notice there is bracket whatsoever on my old radio. So now I have no clue what bracket he is talking about.

Can any of you guys let me know what bracket or mounting kit I may need to get a double din radio to look clean in my dash?

I took a quick picture of the unit before I left, but trust me as to say it looks a lot worse than it is when a light is on it:

I'm gonna write up a review later tonight with some pictures....so far so good however.

better pictures would be helpful. your picture is too dark and blurry. are you talking about the trim that surrounds the headunit?

how much? where did you get it?

Should be the Metra 99-7505... hopefully that does it....MORE PICS Please!!!(attn) I'm anxious to see this in a Proto for the first time

Well while doing the bypass myself (seeing my installer won't do it) I accidently knocked off their plastic trim they made....now making it look even MORE ghetto haha. I ordered the dash kit and hopefully it'll get here by the end of the week. This was the first time i opened up my dash tho and I think i can get the metra kit in myself. I'll keep you guys posted.

i'll take pictures tomorrow before work but i did the full install myself last night. the vss wire the the light green/red wire that you can find in the turbo install i linked for you last night. if you find the light green/red wire, that's the wire you need. trust me. the metra kit works before too. i ordered mine from crutchfield and they sent the kit. anyway, ya, reviews and pictures tomorrow.

Step 1. Remove the cellular mute wire from its pin in the harness and lower it one pin.

Step 2. Ground both that and the parking brake wire....finito.

so it's like the d2/n2. sweet. my theory was correct (there was a thread about the d3 not so long ago)

i was using my friend's Pioneer D2 last weekend and thought it was sweet. it was in his RSX and looked really nice. i like how the dash is curved towards the driver. makes it a little easier to see and use. although i didn't find the navigation that good.

Thanks Shag, hope everything worked out well
