To those that have traded in their P5s, how close were the dealers getting to the NADA or KBB value of the car. I know they only rate at good no matter what the condition and currently my car is around 10kish. Mine has 53k and I still love but just wondering what it would be worth etc. Looking at perhaps getting another car, maybe a Mazda.....maybe not.

Roomate getting a SRT, we are strange like that. I bought my car, he had to buy his truck.
I dunno I've thought about it for a bit and the car is getting to the point where the warrenty is over etc. Just wondering, though doubt it will happen...though I really like his SRT. :)

It depends. If you pay full price on the new car, they give you full dealer book on the trade. If you get a good deal on the car, then don't expect a good trade in price. If you are just thinking about it then I would list the car as private sale and see what happens. Worst case you get alot more then the dealer would give you. Plus its best to do these things when your not itching to get a new car so that impulse doesn't get the best of you.

Ya been thinking about private sale, just not sure how well it would work in this area. The cars are EVERYWHERE and so are the 3's. Guess I could try advertising about a high school and see if perhaps a parent would want to get it for thier kid.
I'm normally a impluse buyer but not with cars...now Best Buy is another beast. :(

btw 1sty do you still have my 6-change stock player? Or did you sell it/put in a car? Just wondering cause if do sell it then I'm putting the stock stuff back in it.

Hmm... should I put in dibs for the floor mats and DaveB rings? :) If the color wouldn't be an issue, I might be able to get my cousin's single CD player for you. He's got a 626 and it lights up green instead of red. I gave him my 6 CD and I don't think he wants to give that up.

I traded it in with the MP3.

As for the car being everywhere, that just means they should be a high demand for it. I was stunned by what we got for my girlfriends civic and nothing is more commonly seen. We only got $1000 trade in but where able to sell it for over $3K. I'd list it and shoot for the moon.

LOL I will probably keep the DaveB rings on there, but you can have the floor mats for free though.
Will also have the Bosal Catback and the AutoExe front Grill.

Just not sure what I want, I would love the SRT but he already got one so don't want to be a clone. The WRX is a consideration along with a Mazda3 or Mazda6. Heck if I get this new job I may consider the MS MX-5 but I like having a back seat. Also had a fancy for the Nissan Altima 3.5 V6....

do your research before going to look at any car and know your numbers. look at many dealers around you and they should give you somewhere close to value on kbb/nada. get the final number before saying that you will trade in your car and let them know you will trade it in. dealers always want to get the most they can get.......

I wouldn't get a WRX where you are. You can get away with a year round summer car. Although, it is cool how they are cheap for insurance compared to the comeptition.

I'd check out the Acura TSX and the Mazda 6. Everytime I have to go up to gas station, I wish I had bought the TSX. Although I just floor the car leaving that gas station and that feeling leaves rather quickly. I actualy turned her sideways yeasturday :D

Indeed thats why I just want to get a idea, and almost stopped by a Dodge dealer on Sunday just to see what they would give me for it.

Ya a WRX isn't really needed though I kinda of like their style. The Mazda6 is really on my list, I would have bought it instead of the P5 if I could have waited a few more months. Hmm The TSX is a sweet car...

Wait for the Mazdaspeed6. :) What about the tC? You could get a TRD supercharger for that and have some fun.

Hmm cool, the car is in perfect shape just have ALOT of miles for a '03.

Dealers are hungry for buisness right now so you should easily be able to get $10K with a good amount off of the WRX.

Hoping so.
If not I can easily practically pay the car off come next year if I get this new job. Just left a message at the dealer I bought mine at to see what Mazda3s they have in stock and what a estimated trade in on mine would be.

Like the 3 somewhat more, or just in general what they would give for the 5. Still have a big fancy for the Mazda6.
I like new shiney things :)
Took a look at the TSX and its more than I want to spend but its right up there now on the want list.

The smart thing would be just to pay of the 5 off, and sink the extra monthy income into a house...but that wouldn't be fun :)
