AutoX Mazda5

Had a blast at the NHSSC autox in Pittsburgh, PA.

At first people laughed and thought it was strange to to a "Minivan" at an autox. Even the starter made a comment of me running to get groceries after. By the end of the day, many people walked up to me to ask, what is in that thing? 133 drivers at the event, finished 79th fastest! Yep, beat 54 other drivers!

Luckily I married a cool chick who only drives a stick! This is what a college freshman said to my wife back when she was a senior. We only have manual transmission cars in this family,now. We had an Odyssey when the kids were babies, good appliance. When we needed a new van, went for the sporty Microvan.

I also have a Mini Cooper that I do track days and autox, those tires are left overs, mounted on some discounted wheels from Summit Racing. Most people don't understand, but if you can't have fun, what's the use of being alive!

Sorry, yes, kinda a slacker when it comes to my Mazda5 and my Mazda people. Please forgive me. I got the 5 new in 2009 and have only been a lurker. I'm really into my Mini Cooper, mainly. Like my 5, but love my mini.

Thanks. Sorry, I've been asking if anyone got one. To be honest most people thought it was going to be a joke, heck I wasn't all that serious about it. Then I started to have ok times and the competitive juices started to kick in.
