still in pieces. I'm still trying to find the rebuild kit as there's only one canadian supplier and they're taking their own sweet time.

I'm also looking into a LSD, which i'm super excited about the info i've found so far.

and i'm still looking for that TC with the aluminum strator.

but i've found that these atx trannys have held up 700+hp in the focus group..

some interesting things about the atx diff to the mtx diff:

The final gear is different in size, the mp3 diff is smaller in thickness.

over all diameter looks to be the same, however i haven't measured to be sure.

the actual diff looks super similar but there's some differences:

the spyder gears are different,
the needle bearings are bigger on the m/t,
the spline count on the spyder gears are the same, but the m/t has a bigger diameter hole.( i need to see if the axles are different on the m/t vs the a/t: confirm?).
the rod(?) that the bearings are on seem to be the same, just the bearings are different.

so i'm thinking i can bolt on a torsen based LSD onto the atx gear, press on the VSS ring and the atx wheel bearings and voila LSD on the ATX.

Hi,
I have a 2004 Mazda 3 with 119,000 kms my overdrive seems to be slipping as the car revs up high rpm light comes on but I get a P0762 I have replaced the solenoids as well as the valve body. same issue any ideas?

About six months ago my fn4a protege transmission went out. Cel P0762. Found used one and swap it over. Now this transmission started slipping in fourth and third gears. No cel. Took the car into shop and they said P0733 gear 3 incorrect ratio. I couldn't believe my luck. This transmission didn't last a year. I'm thinking about just replacing the clutches and steels. Would that fix my problem? What are the specialize specific tools needed to complete the job? Can I get more details??
