Automatic Transmission Question

I recently experienced a rougher shifting feel in my protege. I took it to a tranny specialist and he drove it, and basically said there isnt a problem and he doesnt see a future problem, and his recommendation was i MIGHt want to have a tranny fluid flush. Has anybody experienced this problem? My car is a 2003 with around 53K.

I'm no expert but that might help.
I would suggest considering new mounts or even new belts.

check your engine mounts, could very well be torn. no modifications done to the car i imagine?

Check the ignition wires and spark plugs. You could just need a tune up

At 53K miles, you're only about 7k miles shy of needing the second fluid flush. Is this the factory fluid you're still using?

No mods, and I believe the fluid may have been changed around 38K, how would i check if my mounts are ok?

you can look at the front and sides to see if the rubber is torn

Have you fixed your problem or found what's causing it? I just bought a 2003 p5 yesterday and it's a little tight when going from N to D.
