autoexe finally

man, oh man.. if u have been reading the "flame" section, u must know about my rims... i ordered my autoexe lip n grill 2 weeks after my rims from and guess what, i got my autoexe stuff today. i still havent recieved my rims either... tsk tsk... wheel max can suck a nut.
any way, the grill is fiber glass and the lip is urethane. kind of scary, the lip is only held on by 4 screws. the grill is held on by the two outter most screws. the urethane isnt cut smooth, so i was really disappointed. i need to actually rework the lip and sand down one part because it is really off.
i shall post pics later, when i get my rims and lip on. i ordered my stuff from boomplus toys fyi. well any questions? ill be happy to answer. but ill post pics asap. have a good weekend - chris

How much did you pay for both shipped? My DG lip you see and commented on my other thread fitted very very well, my body shop guys test fit it on and it stayed on, they almost couldn't get it off!

I'm sure when it's all said and done your ride will good really bad ass, don't forget to post a before and after pic when you're done and good luck on the install.

BTW, don't feel bad for your lip being held on my 4 screws, mine only has 2!!! and my body shop basically glued it on....

Maybe when I see your finished car I'll be tempted to buy the gill too....

haha, thanks for the comment. well me and my friend were looking at it last night... i was very disappointed with the quality... there is A LOT of sanding to be done and a lot of the curves arent smooth at all. some places in the urethane are cracked. what im planning to do is take my front off, put another front i have on (from a previous accident) and drop my front, my lip, and my grill so the guy can work on making as flush as he can. i just hope it doesnt cost me an arm and a leg .

the lip and grill shipped to HAWAII were $448.00 for the lip $250.00 for the grill, $150.00 for shipping, and another $50.00 for two day air; so $900.00 altogether ...... ahhh..... i asked them for a cheaper price on the grill also. they asked $300 on their site, but i asked if i could get it for $250 and they said okay, no prob.

well your car looks nice. im sitting here very impatient after seeing your car and how u just got your lip installed. makes me wanna slap my stuff on right now haha. well anymore ques? feel free to ask anyone. well peace and have a safe weekend

Oh yeah I know your feeling, for the week my car was in the shop fixing everything up and the front lip install I basically called them everyday and I think they got a little annoyed, but on the other hand they started to call me everyday on the 3rd day to give me updates so that's very good of them.

Mine lip doesn't have any cracks and no addition sanding was needed, many people commented how DG sells expensive stuff but to me it was worth it as the install was very painless to them. BTW they did a good job installing, but I've notice little gap between the lip and the bumper at the fog light locations, but I can live with that.

Also I bottomed out in my work place's garage today, twice! I was like .... dough! But oh well it was waiting to happen, and I wasted 10 minutes in there begging the parking lot guy to raise up the life for me so that I can park underneath, they use the parking spot lift so they can fit two car in one spot thingy (if you know what I'm talking about), and after several minutes of playing around they gave me a special spot without the lift so I was thankful about that also...

Thank God I only have to park there once a week.
