I hate driving at PIR. The paddock area is so bumpy...My car is sprung way too stiff for that venue. But on a lighter note, took 1st in STX.

Hey, just noticed that there is a Rally Cross event next weekend. It's next weekend (Sat/Sun) in Hillsboro.

So Sunday was a much better course, but I broke my car... it's having some weird charging issues again like when I had my Oddessy battery in it. So I only got 3 runs to everyone's 6 but oh well, it was fun anyways. I took second in STX this time. Looks like I'll be changing springs again before the next event!

Are there any memberships or certifications that I would need before competing in an AutoX?

A driver's license...Now you have to purchase a temporary weekend membership for $15 and then pay the entry fee of $25 per event. The Temp membership is retroactive I thing, they apply that towards an annual membership if you decide to join the SCCA.

Sweet... thanks for the info. I thought you would need a to do some training course. When's the next autoX?

There is a novice school coming up soon, check www.oregonscca.com but it might be full. I'd definitely recommend it. The next autocross is July 19th and 20th in Packwood, Washington. It's only 2 hours away but it is the most beautiful autocross site in the world and probably the only one with an enclosed covered paddock area.
