autocross setup help

Okay here is my situation. I am starting to get into autocross and have competed a few times. I need to get some new struts and springs. I am looking toward the Tokico HP's just b/c im a student and dont really want to spend the amount for the illuminas. I drive the car everyday so i am looking for a spring that doesent kill me since the roads are quite bumpy. I also dont really care about trying to get the really low or dropped look. I dont want to be a snow plow. Anybody with an autocross setup please chime in and help.

I recommend the H&R springs.

yeah i have been looking at those since they dont have a huge drop. Do you know the spring rates of them?

There is that new kit from tokico with springs and struts. I'm running Racing beat springs and illuminas and am doing pretty good so far...

yeah i was looking at that kit but i need to make sure the kit fits b/c i have looked on tokico's site but they dont say anything about them fitting the protege5. I just want to make sure of fitment before i start spending.

All third gens are the same. The only issue you might have is that the rear might sit a little lower than the front. I have that issue with the Racing Beat springs. I was looking at the H&R's but the drop looked like more than 1.3" I am strongly considering Tien's H-techs for the minimum drop and a slightly higher spring rate than I currently have.
