Finally, a solution! The dealer was able to make an adjustment that actually worked. They said our vehicle was still set up with a location setting for Japan. They changed that to the U.S. and now the headlights are coming on when it's actually almost dark, and they seem to be much more sensitive to light changes such as when pulling out of a garage.

you know, I have noticed sensitivity issues. I was wearing sunglasses this morning and the light did not turn off. I was thinking it was due to some time of day setting.
