Auto Highbeam

Hey everyone. I’ve looked everywhere but can’t seem to find an answer to this. I have a 2019 CX9 GT. When I leave the auto highbeam on and turn off the car the high beam is on. Is there a way to have it just keep the low beams on for the designated time?

Unfortunately that's just how it is on the cx-9. Lots of failure on the programmer's part. Mazda has a lot to learn as they begin their venture into the luxury category

Thank you. It’s a great feature to have the lights on when coming home. I’ll just keep moving the stalk back to original position. Hope they can do a software update to fix that as it’s all about programming.

I noticed the same thing. It was annoying at first since i thought i could just leave the high beam auto on at all time. I have now changed my behaviour to leaving them off until i actually need them. When i do ( country road, etc), i turn them on and use the auto high beam function and turn them off when i get home or in the city. I agree though it seems like it would have been quite simple to have the lights revert back to low beam when ignition is turned off. Almost nobody wants to have their high beams on in the driveway (or worst when parked in parallel on the side of a street).
