auto exe lip on sedan?

Hey guys, i hav no clue how to use photoshop, so was wonderin if anyone was nice enuf to photoshop an auto exe lip onto an 02 ES sedan?

i know it doesnt fit, but with some bodywork, cutting, molding, etc, its possible!

or if anyone has any pictures of a sedan with a different lip on it that would be great, EXCEPT FOR THE OEM LIP, WHICH I HAVE ALREADY SEEN.

This isn't possible unless you get the MSP or P5 bumper cover. I don't think any amount of bodywork will allow this lip to fit the ES front.

I read his post fully, and answered his question. It's not possible. Not unless you have unlimited funds and know someone who can do custom fabircation. Once you're there, you'll end up spending throusands of dollars for something that wouldn't cost that much is you just got a MSP front.

His question is akin to "How do I fit a honda B18c5 engine into a Protege?" I suppose it could be done, but one was not made for the other.

Okay: the lip was designed to fit a completely different fascia, with different dimensions. I don't know how you could make it fit, save for making an ENTIRELY NEW bumper from scratch, or doing some ghetto fiberglass work that would look horrible and crack the first time he hits a snow drift.

Seriously, it is not possible unless you want to spend thousands of dollars for a project that would only cost a couple hundered normally.

Please don't argue with me without having something to back up your opinion. This ain't a pissing contest :D
 
I'm not trying to argue. It's just that "it's possible" with money. You've said it yourself.
I agree it's definitely a smarter route to go out and buy a msp/mps/p5 front bumper and put the lip on but if he had a custom shop mold the lip on a sedan bumper there goes his green.

no need to make it a big deal! yah i just got my rear skirt, and i hav side skirts, so im trying to complete it with a bumper or just a lip. i would totalli do bc2 cuz i love the styling but getting it shipped out here to canada is gonna be 800ishCAD, for JUST the front bumper, and thats price quotes from 2 different places.

doing a mp3/msp conversion is goin to be pretti expensive as well, cuz gotta spend money with the grill, rebar, fender wells, etc. lip would be cheapest, but then agian i want something different than the OEM lip for the sedans....

gah! i hate this..
 
i can't find the thread, but i remember some guy started one trying to guage some interest on some sedan lips from a different country (for some reason taiwan and thailand keep coming up) and they look pretty damn good.. but i had no luck locating it.

what are the names of the protege sedan in other countries, cuz putting that in the search might help

yo, first of all, i know this thread kind of died a while back, but let's just say, it has been REVIVED!

Kris (kDawgOne from Toronto), and I have made the AE lip fit the sedan! For those who said it couldn't be done, HAH!

this is an unfinished prototype, we'll be adding a few more thingies here and there to make it a lil more unique and original

Wow, looks really good so far. I commend you on keeping your word on being able to make it fit. Can't wait to see the final product.
 
Wow looks good, but it doesn't look like the autoexe lip much anymore. Good work though. Once finished you guys should try to get a mold made out of it, and give something for them Protege that have that bumper.
 
Desy, I have to say, GREAAT JOB. I'm glad to see you proved that "It Possible" I think it looks great and can't wait to see the finial product.
