aussie shifter combo GB

Just got word back from one of the suppliers. He can do the shifter price I requested :D

I'll just find out a price for shipping and we'll have a firm price.

ok i'm in... cash won't see you until next mondayish.... hmm or should i pay my last speeding fine? ... where to spend $200.... so hard to choose....

ok lock it in eddie, i'm on for it

i'm using my new christmas present to install... someone was nice enough to (finally) get me a trolley jack, and some equally good jack stands...

maybe before nats at the best...but i'm leaning towards no. i am getting them sent here via air (why shipping was so much), and that'll be 6-10 working days i think, then 2 days to you...

all depends on how quickly everyone pays as well. i'm not going to pay the suppliers before all payment is received like i did with the oil caps because we're talking about a lot more money this time

Ok i am in but i am leaving for Darwin tonight will be back on Monday night will send money next day if you have the total cost by then.

(rockon)

haha, sorry i need to do sarcasm properly...
naa is all good, but $200 flat is good to me

Guys,

i just went to the aussie customs site and found the following info:
_________________________________________________

What advice does Customs offer to people buying over the internet?

Customs advises people purchasing goods over the internet to be aware that when those goods arrive in Australia they will be subject to Customs controls.

In some cases this means:

duty and GST may be payable;

it may be a prohibited import and require a permit before it is allowed into the country; or

it may be a prohibited import and not allowed into the country under any circumstance and will be seized by Customs for destruction

Customs would not collect duty and/or GST where:

the value of the goods does not exceed $1000 for goods imported by post or $250 for goods imported air/sea cargo, other than by post; and the Customs duty and/or GST liability of the goods does not exceed $50.

This concession does not apply to:

tobacco, tobacco products or alcoholic beverages;
goods imported by a passenger arriving in Australia from overseas;
goods imported by a member of the crew of a ship or aircraft arriving from overseas; or goods forming part of a bulk order.

Reading this, it seems we gotta pay duties n gst???? :confused: :'(

Can anyone give confirmation this is not case??

Dont wanna be a party pooper but i just dont wanna be forking out extra dosh when it finally gets here...Im sure everyone feels the same

if it comes in and they are wanting me to pay duties etc, i'll see if there is any way we can get around it etc...fingers crossed!

i'm hopefully that we wont have to pay duties and gst because i never have before. I ordered $900usd of stuff previously when the aussie dollar was only 55us cents and i didnt pay a cent in duties.

worst case senario is we'll have to pay duties and gst. it would still work out cheaper than importing it individually,=.

well i thihkn the duties, plus gst should only jack it up to $35... so should work out square in the end... andy, just let us know if your demanded that when its landed at yours

Hey twilight, is it too late to be added to the list. I put my hand up on astina gt but didn't find out it was getting organised on here!

I'll put in a definate yes for the shifter and shifter bushings but not the exhaust bushings if i still can!

PM me any crucial details!

Cheers.

by the way everyone - still pay me the amount i told you, but since the dollar is going up at the moment we all might be in for a refund! i will know exact details when i pay the suppliers.

will keep you all updated naturally...
