You just name the place and time for the switch and I'll see if my schedule allows the time frame...it can be done before Sunday if you want to meet with me this week....just a thought!!
Update.....HMMM...I too have read the ECU swap info,.....but really didn't think warranty violations would be an issue...due to our cars being basically the same...so now I'm somwhat hesitant. I'd rather wait until more have spoken up in case you where swinging my way on swapping due to convenience...Peace!
The only thing that is different is the VTCS thing that the MP3 doesn't have for cold starts. I think you have to do something to the solenoid to keep it from opening or closing. Here or protegeclub.com had a thread on this at some point. As for the warranty issue. The techs will not know unless they look at the ECU.
Also, the P5 Fly'ing Miata used to compare MP3 to MP5 was upgraded with a turbo at 6psi...so aren't we really comparing apples to oranges here as far as ECU performance differences??...it would be nice to have stock-to-stock comparisons!!..Peace!
