Attn Jdm Freaks!

For starters, if those are TRUE JDM headlights, buckets and all you might as well take your $1400 out in the street and throw it up into the air and watch it blow away.....

you ask "what the hell is he talking about" well.....remember guys there are somethings that just down work from JDM....their headlights are one of them....WHY you ask? well think about it. in the true JDM world they drive on the OPPOSITE side of the road....thus their headlights are aimed differently...and its MADE INTO THE REFLECTOR. thus if you put true JDM lights on your car you would be lighting up the wrong side of the road.....and BLINDING all of the oncomming traffic.

NOW....if you truely want a complete HID setup that included the light reflector and all....what you need to do is get the EUROPEAN HID's.....from countrys where they drive on the CORRECT side of the road.

TheMan just posted in another thread all the part numbers to the headlamp assemblies for the edm i believe, if u look for it it will come.

lol sirnuke. i never thought of that dude. good point u bring up. out of all the jdm lights blah blah ive read on this forum, i never heard that point of 'the beam aiming the wrong way' being brought up. gj - chris

i thought headlights light up the road in front of you, not to the right or left of you

thats right the left is straight to obviously point as far down the road as possible without creating a shadow area before the light and the right is pointed outward a bit so you can see things coming fromt he side of the road better, couldnt do this on left cause it would blind oncomers.

Obviously this is all in reverse in most of europe and asia where they drive on the right hand side.

For some reason though the edm ones are aligned properly for US stressts. I think maybe they both point mainly forward and outward a little. not sure.

Also I think you can order the edm ones in chrome bezel or black so you dont have to take it apart and also you should make sure it comes with the stock city lights in the high beams, they should be just to the left of the 12 oclock position as u look at the headlight straight on. white lite stock i think.

if you want to do this conversion. MY recommendation would be to get a hold of Edwin, "THE MAN" as he did all the reasearch, which is where I learned the difference myself. HE has also done this conversion to his car....and I have seen pics of the lighting..and even in the pictures the difference is awsome.

wll no, see working at a body shop, I learned just how easily it is to aim yoru headlights using an 8mm socket on the top and side of the headlight, JDM or not, they are the same

supposedly in jdm the actual silver reflectors are mounted to reflect those ways, not just the bulb socket and ballast.
