2006 Mazdaspeed 6
Topspeed in Alpharetta GA, home to some of the best AP tuners in the southeast is going to start tuning mazdaspeeds!!!

Ive been pushing some of the locals that arent on the boards to get cobb AP's so we can all get tuned but their are a few guys ive seen on these boards that I havent met and i want to get everyone together.

Topspeed wants to see interest before they spend the $2000+ on the pro tuner/dealer software from cobb. I have purchased my AP and i am on the list and supposedly, another local is waiting as well. We need 3-4 more people to give them enough interest to buy the software.

Doug, the main tuner can is a factory trained AEM tuner thats been tuning for a long time and definitely knows his stuff. He's familiar with the mazdaspeed ECU's as he works very closely with cobb already. Subaru of Jacksonville has an AWD dynapak and he comes down every 2-3 months and does tunes for the suby, evo, and dsm guys. He said they would love to get the mazdaspeed crew's business and we can get tuned here in town!!

So, if you need a tune and want to buy an AP call them, if you buy through them, you get 30 minutes of free tuning too!!

and for what its worth, im not affiliated with topspeed, i just want them to have the software in time for the july visit so we can get tuned here in town instead of having to drive 8 hours ...

you have a tasteful mod list ^^ looks like you hit the basics, what kind of power did your car lay down?...

Im in RI i mean i wouldnt mind taking a vacation to get my car tuned right.. but i doubt that would happen anytime soon..

ya, its a must... i do not trust the off the shelf maps

Same for me , i'm from Montreal Canada and i'll go at P3 performance Maryland June 13 for the CP-E flash and CP-E standback tuning , 10 hours of road for me because nobody know the sowfware here in Quebec so , i don't want a generic map .

+++++ I am very interested... and in fact i go to Atlanta all the time my brother lives in cumming GA .....very close to alpharetta.

Let me know ! I dont have acessport yet but plan on getting one soon

definitely get one! the 30 free minutes of tuning... plus, if you put a topspeed sticker on your car, they give you a discount also...

my AP gets here on tuesday!!

jeff, thats great you are close to alparetta... the good news is, you can get tuned here in jacksonville or you can drive up there...

Sweet let me know how its works i'll be gettin one soon

i installed the cobb AP and flashed stage 1 91/92 oct.... my car is bone stock other than the flash... the car picks up and GO's!!! no more dead feeling after 4800 rpms... it pulls pretty good out to 5500+ its still a bit dead up top but light years better than before... it feels faster than my friends speed 3 with a downpipe, MS intake, and an HKS catback....

the 93 oct keeps it in control... car is running 15.5 lbs... AFR's are nice, looked at knock count.... nothing!

the cobb AP has so many badass features... i cant wait to get a custom tune!

trouble shoot codes (havent had any)
0-60 time
dynometer
1/4 mile
full data logging with any ecu value you want to watch
fuel logger/mileage

na, not yet... is that a must?

I was under the impression the stock plugs are fine for stage 1...

it cant hurt to go to a colder plug... o well...

i guess tomorrow, i'll preorder some denso itv22's...

at the parts place i work at, we have denso itv20's on the shelf but not the 22's... whats the difference?

It took me from 3.5-4.2 KR in WOT 3rd gear to having only the occassional .35 and .7 at 2300 revs in WOT 3rd gear. It was a pretty incredible difference. At $45 it's nothing to save your engine. I would consider it more as a precaution than anything.

Good info, thanks blender... Im putting them on order today

I live in Woodstoc, GA about 20 minutes from Alpharetta. Many of my friends have gone to topspeed for their subys. I also work with a person that used to work their. I think the other shop that you were talking about was Forged performance. Definatley a great shop. The owner is a nice guy and I know all the mechanics. Thing that suck with Forged is that they have such a low reading dyno.

hey...we are trying to generate the same interest in the columbus/ auburn ..hell the whole southeast region.
Keep us posted if you are making any progress.

definitely making progress... i only need 3 more people for the jacksonville tune...

btw, i ended up getting my denso itv22's for $24.xx ....parts company discount FTW!!

cmon people... we only need 3 more for topspeed to purchase the software!!! if you already have an AP, just call them and tell em you're interested in a tune...

talk to decker and tell him dave in jax told you to call...
